General Hospital Spoilers: Kin Shriner Reveals ‘Scotty’s Run Is Done’ – Thanks GH Fans for Support

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) recently revealed that “Scotty’s run is done” and thanked fans for their support. Shriner’s announcement led to concerns about the possibility that his time at GH was over, so let’s look at what stirred up so much drama.

“Thanks @GeneralHospital fans for all the encouraging mentions,” Shriner said in a tweet. “Scotty’s run is done so heading to fla to ride Vespa around the tropics !!!!!!”

It’s easy to see how some people might take that to mean that Shriner has wrapped filming forever.

Shriner hasn’t offered a follow-up tweet to explain just yet, but we’d say there’s another explanation – one that’ll keep Scott on canvas in the new year.

There’s a good chance that Shriner simply meant his LATEST run is done – meaning he now has some time off to do what he loves most and zip around on his Vespa.

Since Scott is wrapping up a big story arc on the show, he’s understandably getting plenty of praise and wanted to send this message of gratitude.

Just in case you thought this might involve not complying with the vaccine mandate, we can shut that idea down.

Shriner has confirmed his vaccination status through other tweets, so that’s not a factor here.

Plus, Shriner clearly loves playing Scott and seemingly has no desire to leave the ABC soap. Likewise, GH seemingly has no reason to get rid of Shriner in this beloved role.

Scott remains in a comical, loving relationship with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), so all signs point to him sticking around Port Charles. It’s just that Scott has won his latest legal battle and won’t be needed until the next one comes around.

There’ll be more courtroom wars for Scott to fight down the road, but Shriner can take this well-deserved break and enjoy his vacay for now.

Of course, we can’t speak for Kin Shriner, so it’s always possible that he’s done permanently.

However, we’d imagine Shriner would have a much lengthier goodbye message if that was happening. This seems more like a “see ya next time” situation than some sentimental farewell.

Bottom line, there’s probably no need to worry about getting your Scotty fix in 2022.

Kin Shriner always pops up again for some fun scenes, so we’ll just have to be patient and await his next run.

General Hospital spoilers say Liesl may need to lean on Scott after Peter August (Wes Ramsey) unleashes more terror on Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and the rest of Port Charles.
