General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some bombshells are coming up for May sweeps highlights, so several Port Charles residents will be stuck in tight spots. There’ll be some surprises outside of PC as well, so there’s plenty of action in store for fans. Let’s take a look at some May sweeps highlights.
For starters, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will work hard to make sure Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) makes a clean getaway from GH. Carly isn’t a big fan of Britt Westbourne, but she’ll indeed have to rely on Britt if she wants to pull this off.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will hope Jason can make it to the five families meeting, but it looks like someone else will have to go in his place. Will Carly step up as mob queen in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) absence?
In the coming weeks, Carly will find herself on furious Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) bad side – and that’s always a dangerous place to be! Speaking of danger, Britt and Jason should face some as they flee together. These two will spend some time on the run and grow closer than ever in the process.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will handle her Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) problem, but for how long? Nina could face more snags now that Jax knows where she is. There’s also the potential for Jax to spill what he thought he saw, which was Sonny’s face right in front of him.
However, Jax will accept it was his imagination for the timing being and focus on keeping Carly safe as a mob war threatens to erupt.
At Pentonville, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will stumble across a face from his past who might be able to help him out. Of course, that has to be Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Alexis’ purpose behind bars seems to be offering legal help to those in need – and her former flame certainly needs it! Shawn didn’t commit the crime he was convicted for, so Alexis should play a crucial role in helping Shawn get off the hook.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby agreement will seem like a great idea. Unfortunately, there’ll be some unexpected hurdles along the way that could trip them up.
Brook Lynn will plan to take Baby Lou following the birth and keep her safe until Maxie’s ready to resume the role of mom. Nevertheless, Peter will continue to scheme and could pose a greater risk that Maxie’s anticipating.
Over with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), she’ll get caught in a fierce faceoff that could put her life on the line. Meanwhile, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) flying sparks will bring some issues.
Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) disapproval will be a factor, but Cyrus’ jealousy will be a far bigger one!
As Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) look forward to their vow renewal, someone will send bold messages to make it clear they should split. Will that someone be Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel)?
There have been rumblings about the role of Spencer being recast, so this seems like the perfect May sweeps return for the character.
Roger Howarth will definitely be making a splash in his own exciting comeback. General Hospital spoilers say Howarth will make his first appearance in a new role for May sweeps. There are some hints about Howarth stripping down as part of his debut, so it’ll be interesting to see where this leads!
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will continue to struggle as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) finds for the antidote to help him, but Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will battle guilt for leading him on.
Look for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to get caught up in Finn’s story and perhaps offer some crucial help.
Finally, several forces will conspire against Peter during May sweeps. Peter will face a downfall, so will it be a deadly one? Has the time come for a murder mystery sendoff? Time will tell, but Peter will definitely get what’s coming to him one way or another.
