General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, May 17 – Sonny Armed, Ready to Protect Nina – Maxie & Peter Shut Down Immediate Induced Labor

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, May 17, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be armed and ready to protect Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) shut down Dr. Sofia Navarro’s (Christina Ferraro) immediate induced labor plan.

At the Metro Court, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will push Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to come clean since something’s obviously going on with her. Brando will push Sasha to let him help her with whatever it is, but Sasha will keep her walls up and try to keep her distance instead.

Brando won’t find out he’s going to be a father – at least not from Sasha. However, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has made some wrong assumptions and congratulated Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) on impending fatherhood.

Since Cyrus knows he didn’t sleep with Sasha, it won’t take him long to figure out Sasha’s pregnant with someone else’s child – and he’ll naturally assume Brando is the “baby daddy.” Of course, Cyrus is a master manipulator who may keep that news to himself and find ways to use it to his advantage.

On Monday’s episode, Cyrus will talk to someone about how some messes are unavoidable. He may mess with Brando a bit without revealing the details, but Cyrus will definitely enjoy feeling like he has the upper hand.

As for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), she’ll offer a pep talk at GH. It looks like Liz will express confidence in Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) finding a way to cure Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and put this nightmare to rest.

We also know Elizabeth will lash out at someone on Monday’s action-packed show, so we’ll see who manages to get on Liz’s bad side. In the meantime, Finn will fret over Chase’s condition since this antidote dose is just another temporary fix.

Finn will know this has to end, but he’ll be frustrated since he hasn’t been able to resolve the poison crisis yet.

Over with Maxie and Peter, they’ll both want to pump the brakes on Dr. Navarro’s plans – for different yet similar reasons! Maxie and Peter have secret, separate birth plans, so they’ll want to wiggle out of Dr. Navarro’s suggestion that Maxie be induced right away.

Peter will wonder if there’s something Dr. Navarro isn’t telling them and will likely ask if there’s some problem with the baby.

However, Dr. Navarro is apparently just in agreement with GH fans since Maxie has been pregnant long enough. Maxie needs to get this baby out before she walks out on her own!

Nevertheless, Maxie and Peter will shut down Dr. Navarro’s plan to induce labor right away, so they’ll both buy themselves a little more time to pull off their own goals.

As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll receive upsetting updates over the phone. Anna will find out from the WSB that Sean Donely (John Reilly) died, so that’ll bring a rush of tough emotions. It’ll be Maxie who Anna first confides in after she faces this difficult blow.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will meet with Gladys and fight for what she wants. “You backed the wrong horse,” Carly insists in Monday’s preview clip.

It looks like Carly will try to get Gladys to shift her allegiance in exchange for compensation, but Gladys may not respond how Carly wants.

Next, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will stand against Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) latest suggestion. Valentin wants to move in along with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and Yuri the bodyguard, but Brook Lynn will fly into a rage on Monday, May 17.

After Brook Lynn declares it’ll happen over her dead body, Valentin will no doubt remind her the ELQ shares are at stake. In the end, Brook Lynn will have no choice but to let Valentin and his posse take up residence in the Quartermaine mansion like he wants.

As for Nina, she’ll be in a tight spot now that Elijah Crowe (Dan White) has caught her in his office. Nina slipped in through the backdoor that “Mike” aka Sonny left open for her and used the software he installed to gather some intel.

Nina had just finished printing some information when Elijah appeared looking suspicious.

Nina will stammer on Monday as she insists she can explain everything – and luckily, Nina ditched an earring in there earlier so that she could claim she returned for it. Even so, Elijah may not feel like he’s getting the full story here.

Regardless, Sonny will grab his gun and get ready to defend Nina if need be. Although Sonny will be prepared to do whatever he has to do, it seems Nina will wiggle out of trouble and reconvene with “Mike” before any shots are fired.

It sounds like another fantastic episode’s on the way, so fans won’t want to miss all the mayhem. CDL will have other hot General Hospital spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so make us your top source.
