General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, September 20 Recap – Maxie's Peter Panic - Jason & Carly Love Fest as Sonny Comes Home

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 20, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) celebrated their love as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came home. As for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she panicked over a Peter August (Wes Ramsey) warning.

Outside the chapel on Monday’s GH episode, Jason told Carly about the bomb that was meant for their car.

It blew up Mr. Buscema (Burt Tangredi) and Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) instead thanks to a tip from Mrs. Wu (Lydia Look), who let the newlyweds know she wanted nothing to do with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and all his scheming.

Jason assured Mrs. Wu that her loyalty would be rewarded, but she urged Jason and Carly to go dance at their reception and celebrate their love.

Carly worried the cops might want to take Jason in for questioning even though he’d made sure his hands were clean, but he felt he should be where he’s supposed to be in that case.

Meanwhile, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hinted to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) that Jason might need her services later.

Spinelli shared the news of the explosion with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) before Maxie pushed Spinelli to focus on brevity when he got up there as MC.

Spinelli smiled over Maxie seeming more like herself these days and eventually introduced the happy couple. Jason and Carly joined the reception before they slow danced together.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) made a sweet speech and later, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) caught the bouquet.

Although Willow didn’t put much stock in that sort of thing, she pointed out that if they did decide to get married again – it would be for real this time. Michael definitely seemed to like the sound of that.

As for Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), she chewed Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) out over the Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) situation.

The specialist idea led to more tension between Olivia and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), but Ned assured Olivia that he loved Leo like his own son.

Ned hoped that Olivia would at least consider getting Leo checked out.

In Nixon Falls, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) insisted on going home to his wife and kids. He yelled that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) loved “Mike,” who didn’t exist anymore.

Sonny wound up going against medical advice and taking Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) up on his offer for a quick flight back to Port Charles.

Once Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made it to the clinic, they had plenty of questions.

After offering updates on the fire, Nina admitted that Peter blackmailed her and mentioned how she sent Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) after him before the plan went awry.

Once Nina expressed her concern over Peter heading for Port Charles to see Maxie, Anna and Valentin took off to find him.

A new lead put them near Peter’s abandoned car – and Valentin vowed to shoot Peter on sight.

However, it was Anna who first caught up with Peter and drew her weapon. She made it clear that Peter wasn’t going anywhere.

Back with Nina, she called Maxie and finally got her to pick up. Nina warned about Peter showing up in Nixon Falls and filled Maxie with fear about Peter’s potential return to PC.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) showed up with a gift to thank Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) for her hospitality.

However, Chase eventually admitted to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that the gift was an excuse to stop by. He really wanted to apologize for trying to screw the Quartermaines over by going along with Austin’s plan.

Chase held “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) and mentioned that she didn’t really look like either one of her parents.

Brook Lynn argued that “Bailey” looked like her own person instead.

As for Chase going after revenge, Brook Lynn didn’t mind since it showed her that he was human.

Brook Lynn liked seeing that Chase was capable of getting down in the mud, even if he wasn’t good at being a bad guy. When Chase suggested it was time to go, Brook Lynn pushed him to stay.

After Carly and Jason made it home following their reception, they ended up in the bedroom.

Although they both thought this felt right, Jason assured Carly there was no rush on anything since they had the rest of their lives together.

Carly admitted that she wasn’t just falling in love with Jason; she was actually in love with him. Jason said he loved Carly, too – and then they began kissing passionately.

Downstairs, Sonny came home and took in his surroundings before ultimately heading upstairs.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny’s in for a shock as the comeback drama continues.
