General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, September 27 Recap – Carly Fears Sonny’s Bipolar Paranoia – Peter Pulls Gun on Obrecht

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 27, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) feared Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bipolar paranoia while Peter August (Wes Ramsey) pulled a gun on Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and revealed himself as Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) partner in crime.

For starters, Liesl held a knife to Victor’s throat until Peter put a gun on her back. Peter confirmed that he’d tied up the loose end in Nixon Falls and didn’t think Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) or anyone else had survived.

Although Peter wanted to kill Liesl as well, Victor stopped him and made it clear that Peter wasn’t calling the shots here. Liesl said Victor could take her knife, her life or whatever else he wanted. She just wanted a chance to kill Peter, so Victor seriously considered the deal for a moment.

However, Victor decided to keep his arrangement with Peter and had one of his guards take Obrecht to another location. Peter thought it was a mistake to keep Liesl alive, but Victor suggested that was his choice and that his reasons were none of Peter’s business.

At the U.S. Consulate’s medical facility, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got updates on unconscious Chloe Jennings’ (Phoebe Kuhlman) condition. Chloe had a concussion from a car accident and showed signs of dehydration as well as disorientation. It seemed to the doctor that Chloe had been in a stressful situation before the crash happened.

After Valentin and Anna talked about Cassadine Island being close, they left to seek more info around the nearby village. The doctor then called Victor to give him the news of Anna and Valentin’s visit.

Back in Port Charles, Sonny wanted Nina to accept that what she fell in love with was an illusion. “Mike” wasn’t real, and Sonny didn’t know what he was missing in his old life.

At one point, Sonny realized that Nina intentionally ended a video call with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) to prevent the secret from getting out. Even so, Sonny didn’t believe Nina acted out of malice – other than her initial burst of desire for revenge on Carly.

Sonny understood that Nina got caught up in things, but he warned that there would be fallout. Nina accepted that consequences were coming and was truly sorry. She just hoped Sonny wouldn’t suffer for her mistakes.

In the Corinthos living room, Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) discussed how to handle things with Sonny. Carly pointed out that they didn’t know how Sonny had been dealing with his bipolar disorder – or even if he’d been dealing with it at all. She had concerns about Sonny getting paranoid if he learned the marriage was going to be real.

Jason argued there was no need to tell Sonny the whole truth unless he asked. Carly agreed they’d be honest in that case, but she hoped Sonny wouldn’t have questions. Jason made it clear that they did nothing wrong and assured Carly that everything was going to be OK. Afterward, Jason headed to the cemetery and found Sonny, who wanted to get rid of his gravestone.

At Charlie’s Pub, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) talked to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) at their table. Joss quickly realized that Brook Lynn hadn’t been filled in, so she revealed that Sonny was alive and offered a brief explanation.

Brook Lynn didn’t want to overwhelm Sonny, but she was eager to see him. Maxie mentioned something about when she found out, so Josslyn was confused and wondered who told her. Brook Lynn tried to cover for Maxie, but Josslyn was adamant about Maxie telling Carly whatever she knew. That led to Maxie paying a visit to the Corinthos compound with something to tell Carly.

At the hospital, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) noticed some awkwardness between Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Chase could tell there was a vibe on both sides, so he encouraged Finn to talk to Liz and make something happen.

Liz got similar advice from Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), who didn’t think Liz should guess what was going on in Finn’s head. In the end, Finn invited Liz to GH’s upcoming trivia night and was pleased when she agreed she’d see him there next Wednesday.

General Hospital spoilers say Liz and Finn’s romance should be on the verge of blooming, so stay tuned. CDL will have other exciting General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your favorite GH hotspot.
