General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may betray Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) by hiding the “Bailey Quartermaine” (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) truth after Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) comes clean. It looks like Nina may let this proud papa continue to be duped by the fake daughter deception.
During the week of July 12-16, Maxie will turn to Nina for guidance. Soon after, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will freak over the fear of exposure. However, GH spoilers say Nina will ultimately catch Brook Lynn by surprise.
When you put all that together, it sounds like Maxie may trust Nina with the truth – leading Brook Lynn to understandably panic. Brook Lynn knows how close Nina and Valentin were once upon a time.
Brook Lynn also knows that Nina respects Valentin as a father and has a close bond with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
It’d be reasonable for Brook Lynn to freak about Nina potentially running right to Valentin and blabbing. That’s where Nina’s surprise might come in. Nina may catch Brook Lynn off guard by insisting she’ll keep the secret.
Although Nina was devastated when she found out Valentin had offered Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) as a fake daughter, a lot has changed since then.
Nina’s keeping the truth about “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) under wraps – and she’s convinced herself she has some good reasons.
In Nina’s mind, she’s protecting Sonny from his old dangerous life. Nina may understand why Maxie and Brook Lynn have been driven to take drastic action here. She may agree that Louise’s safety has to come first.
Nina may worry that Valentin could take the baby and bolt under the circumstances, so she might agree to keep the secret from him.
Perhaps Nina could promise until they can be sure Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is no longer a threat, she’ll keep the “Bailey” truth from Valentin and everyone else.
Of course, this would bring some interesting complications for Nina down the road. It’d be nice to see Valentin angry with Nina for once – and it’s safe to say he will be if Nina winds up hiding something so huge from him!
