General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may comfort Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over a tough goodbye to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Will Jason’s fatal outcome lead to a passionate reconnection between Sonny and Nina?
Based on what we know so far, Jason is unlikely to make it back from his trip with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Jason is always the kind of guy who rides to the rescue and helps the people he cares about. He couldn’t leave Britt hanging since she desperately needed his assistance.
However, Jason’s rescue mission seems poised to go wrong this time around.
GH insiders insist Steve Burton filmed an exit that’ll play out soon, so he may be presumed dead after one last faceoff with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and a fall into the water below.
Regardless, Nina will await updates on November 22, which may be when Jason suffers a grim fate.
Maybe Nina will wait for Britt to get in touch about Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and hear some tragic news about Jason during that phone call.
We should also mention where exactly Nina will wait for these updates – and that’s Charlie’s Pub. Nina’s bound to be hanging out there more and more now that Sonny owns the place.
Sonny may be with Nina when she finds out Jason is gone, so GH might even let Nina be the bearer of bad news.
There’s the potential for Nina and Sonny to reconnect over their losses. Nina still misses Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) all the time, so she knows what it’s like to feel a void after someone you love gets ripped away.
Sonny and Nina mourned the loss of Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) not too long ago in Nixon Falls, so they may be reminded of that loss, too.
The show might as well use Jason’s presumed death to move some storylines along and set up some new shockers.
Will Sonny’s grief soften him even further and bring out more of “Mike” in his scenes with Nina?
Plenty of Port Charles residents have had hot hookups during mourning periods, so there’s a chance for Sonny to have one with Nina.
Sonny may feel more comfortable opening up to Nina than Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) since Carly’s real marriage to Jason still bothers him.
It might be easier for Sonny to talk to Nina, but they could do more than talk in the end!
After all, we can’t forget there’s a room above the pub where Julian Jerome (William DeVry) enjoyed some steamy sessions.
It could be Nina and Sonny’s turn next, but we’ll just have to see how things play out.
