General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will continue down a romantic road away from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Although part of Sam will always love Jason, she’s ready to embrace a new version of herself and focus on a different kind of future.
It looks like that future’s going to include Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but there’s at least one person who won’t be happy about it.
On a recent episode, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) seemed awfully suspicious about the connection that’s developing between Sam and Dante. Olivia watched her son intently and looked intrigued, but her interest seems to be coming from a place of concern.
General Hospital spoilers point to Olivia eventually grilling Dante about his growing bond with Sam. We might see Olivia offer some not-so subtle advice about sticking to friendship.
Olivia could battle concerns for several different reasons, including the fact that Leo Falconeri (Aaron Bradshaw) is a younger sibling to both Sam and Dante.
That’s obviously a little weird and going to be hard to explain to the kid. Leo may be confused if his big sister and big brother start dating! Plus, Olivia might be holding out hope that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will wake up and rebuild her family with Dante.
Olivia could worry that Dante will mess things up for himself and upset Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan), who’s still having a rough time over his comatose mom’s ordeal.
There’s also the matter of Sam’s relationship with Jason and what Olivia may view as temptation for Sam. Olivia has just been cheated on, so this could become the biggest issue of all for her.
It’s easy to imagine Olivia fearing that Sam’s on the rebound and will inevitably drift back to Jason sooner or later. Olivia might fret about Dante getting his heart broken if Sam winds up back in Jason’s bed. From where Olivia’s standing, “JaSam” may still be endgame.
Bottom line, Olivia will be protective of her son, even if Dante insists he can take care of himself. Will Olivia try to sabotage Dante and Sam’s blooming love?
