General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) mind control plan for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be revealed. It turns out Peter kept Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) alive so he could essentially brainwash his “baby mama” into reuniting.
GH fans know Peter is determined to be a family again with Maxie and Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom). Of course, Peter’s facing an uphill battle since he doesn’t know where Louise is – not to mention Maxie hates his guts!
However, Peter isn’t one to back down from a challenge. He’s determined to track Louise down since he has no idea she’s living as “Bailey Quartermaine” back in Port Charles.
That shocker will infuriate Peter down the road, but let’s focus on Peter’s other goal for a moment: reuniting with Maxie.
Peter could take Maxie hostage and force her to stay by his side, but that’s not really what he’s looking for.
What Peter wants is to get back to a positive relationship with Maxie. Peter is craving Maxie’s love and has no way of earning it after all the horrible things he’s done.
Maxie can’t trust Peter and has no intention of ever giving him another chance, but Peter isn’t the kind of guy who just lets things go.
Since Peter is obsessed with Maxie and the notion of building a life together, he’s willing to resort to some pretty drastic levels to make this reunion happen.
That’s where Obrecht comes in. Peter loves being able to control Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) through the second layer of conditioning that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) installed.
Although Peter has been relying on Drew to do his dangerous dirty work, he needs Liesl for this next part.
Unlike Drew, Maxie doesn’t have any buried conditioning Peter can use to control her. Liesl has experience in the mind control department, so Peter has decided he can force Obrecht to manipulate Maxie’s brain.
Peter will want to convince Maxie they’re still in love, but Liesl obviously won’t be interested in helping Peter get her back.
Instead, Obrecht will start plotting her escape right as Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) close in on Cassadine Island.
Liesl will hope to make it off the island before Peter ropes her into anything too terrible. We’ll offer updates as other GH news rolls in.
