General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that many fans are excited to see what the future holds for Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). GH fans know Liesl recently swooped in while Scott was blasting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in lockup.
It was Liesl who insisted Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was responsible for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death – and then she whisked Scott away for drinks before things turned honest between them. Liesl had some emotional moments as she blamed herself for allowing Peter to kill Franco.
It was nice seeing Liesl be vulnerable with Scott, who remained devastated by Franco’s death as well. Scott and Liesl came together to discuss how they loved Franco despite his flaws. General Hospital viewers also heard Obrecht offer gratitude for Scott’s help with Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison James) – and then Scott escorted Liesl back to her room, where Liesl invited Scott in amidst some flying sparks.
That led to some comical morning after scenes between Scott and Obrecht. Now that they’ve hooked up and agreed they’d be down to do it again sometime, we’re loving this fun duo. Although it’d be fine for Liesl and Scott to remain bedroom buddies, there’s also the potential for things to go deeper.
It’s easy to see how Scott and Liesl could be long-term couple material. Liesl is a schemer with a strong personality, so not just any guy can handle her. Of course, Scott understands Liesl and has been known to do some scheming himself. Since Scott also has a strong personality that some might view as tough to handle, these two are the perfect pair.
Kin Shriner and Kathleen Gati work well with each other, so GH writers have a great opportunity here. Both Scott and Liesl deserve a chance to find lasting love, so why not let them do it with each other? It could be a way for something good to come out of Franco’s death if this pushes Obrecht and Scott into solid couple territory. This could be Scott and Liesl’s shot at a bright future together.
Since many viewers are always eager to see Shriner score more stories and airtime, this romantic turn between Liesl and Scott might help with that. Gati is also a talented asset to General Hospital, so this could also bring more material for her and give Obrecht a shot at true happiness!
