General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, December 30 Recap – Jason Sends Carly Comfort – Sonny Admits Feelings For Nina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 30, reveals Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) sent Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) some footbridge comfort while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) gave intoxicated Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a ride. Let’s talk about how things played out on Thursday’s exciting show.

At Charlie’s Pub, Sonny kept throwing back drinks and opened up to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about the outcome of Nina’s hearing.

Sonny reflected on how things blew up with Carly and admitted to still feeling something for Nina. Sonny talked about how there was a piece of “Mike’s” heart that still belonged to Nina.

Dante understood that Sonny couldn’t just forget his experience and felt that was a real part of him.

However, Sonny said his feelings for Nina had nothing to do with what he felt for Carly. suggested Nina was like an ex who would fade away, but Dante didn’t think that would happen while Sonny drank himself into oblivion.

Sonny urged Dante to go ring in the new year with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and felt he could find his own ride elsewhere.

Dante assured Sonny that everything they discussed would stay between them. He then swiped Sonny’s keys to prevent him from driving and took off.

At home, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) called Cameron Webber (William Lipton) to bail on their New Year’s Eve plans together since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was dealing with a crisis.

Joss ultimately got updates on the problem and was horrified as she asked if Sonny had been cheating with Nina.

Carly noted that Sonny said he wasn’t, but Joss seemed a bit skeptical. At one point, Carly turned her attention to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) over her own betrayal.

Carly ripped into Willow for keeping Nina’s secret and felt she was entitled to know if her husband was in love with another woman.

Carly complained about Willow choosing Nina over the family that had welcomed her in, but Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) tried to smooth things over.

After Carly stepped outside, she cried as she said Jason’s name and asked where he was.

Carly was more in control of her emotions when she came back inside. She was sorry since she knew her family was trying to be there for her.

Carly made it clear that she loved them all – including Willow.

At Sam’s place, she opened the door to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who had some silly 2022 glasses for both Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) and Sam.

Scout loved them and wanted Drew to stay until midnight, but he offered to tuck her in instead and gave her an airplane ride upstairs.

When Drew came back down, he found that Dante had come home. Drew thanked Sam, who let him know he was welcome anytime.

Dante seemed uncomfortable over Sam and Drew’s close interaction, but he assured Sam that she didn’t have to explain as they prepared for the New Year’s Eve countdown.

After Carly announced she was taking a drive to clear her head, she wound up on the footbridge wishing Jason was there with her.

Soon after, Carly turned around to see that Drew had joined her there – almost like Jason had sent his brother to offer comfort.

At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) had some old cassette tapes of music that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) used to like.

Scott handed them over to Cameron and Aiden Webber along with five bucks for Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) since he didn’t know she would be there with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).

Aiden and Cameron talked about Franco in the kitchen later, so Liz privately told Finn how much the boys missed him.

Liz ultimately realized her wedding ring had gone down the drain, so Finn stepped up to get it out for her.

Finn surprised Liz by admitting he put himself through two years of med school while working at a plumbing company.

Finn wound up all wet when the pipe started gushing, but he managed to find the ring.

Liz took it in her hand, but she decided to put it in the drawer instead of putting it back on. Finn then pulled Liz into a hug to comfort her.

At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reflected on his history with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and was interested in getting much closer.

Portia was on the same page, so they ended up hitting the sheets together during the fireworks later.

Back at the nightclub, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) heard the latest courtroom news from Nina, who didn’t know how Scott found out about her Nixon Falls romance. When Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) joined them, Nina realized it was Obrecht who blabbed and blamed her for ruining everything.

Liesl acted like she saved the day instead, but Nina remained upset. When Scott showed up and got another earful, he argued that Nina should’ve told the truth to the Corinthos clan a year ago if she was so concerned about them.

Liesl wasn’t pleased over Scott’s dig, but they still shared a steamy kiss at midnight as they appreciated each other.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) also showed up with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), so Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) convinced Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to take their New Year’s Eve celebration private.

As long as Valentin didn’t know about it, Martin felt he could continue his romance with Lucy AND keep his most lucrative client.

Lucy and Martin comically took a wrong turn trying to find an exit, but Lucy thought this would be simpler if he just picked her over Valentin.

In the end, Maxie came to their rescue by giving Lucy a New Year’s Eve disguise and leading her out.

Martin then approached Valentin and Anna while dramatically playing up how he was all alone tonight.

Afterward, Martin met back up with Lucy for their midnight kiss while Anna and Valentin shared one of their own.

Josslyn also showed up to kiss Cameron outside his door during the fireworks display. Aiden and Violet grinned at each other over the romantic moment happening behind them.

Back with Nina, she locked eyes with Sonny when she entered Charlie’s Pub. Nina could tell Sonny was intoxicated and offered to drive him home.

Sonny admitted he couldn’t go there, but he agreed to let Nina give him a ride elsewhere since his keys were gone.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Carly have plenty of marriage woes to work through, so stay tuned to see if they can make it.
