General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, June 24 Recap – Warehouse Explosion Rocks Jason & Carly – Alexis Thrown in Solitary

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 24, reveals that a warehouse explosion rocked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) while Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) got herself thrown in solitary confinement.

At the cemetery on Thursday’s episode, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) found Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) visiting Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) grave and admitted he was there to visit the one belonging to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Nina wondered how hard Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) pushed Michael to let her visit Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), so Michael explained where he stood.

Although Jax indeed pushed for it, Michael made the decision and was fine with it as long as Nina followed the rules.

Michael acknowledged that Nina was entitled to feel however she wanted to feel about Nelle, but he couldn’t have her influencing Wiley’s view.

Nina hoped she could be so bold as to ask for the same thing from Michael. She found out a child psychologist was lined up to help Wiley process things when the time came.

Nina hoped that one day she could tell Wiley her thoughts on who Nelle could’ve been if given the chance. Michael argued that if Nina wanted to do that, it’d have to happen when Wiley was much older.

Once Michael left, Nina talked to Nelle’s grave about Sonny being happy now and how she wished she could’ve given that to Nelle. Nina also worried about blowing her shot at spending time with her grandson if Michael found out her Sonny secret.

At GH, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) explained the latest health setback to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Chase’s muscles had atrophied and the toxin in his body had resulted in nerve damage.

The result was that Chase couldn’t feel anything below his waist, but he was hopeful about it being temporary.

However, Chase noted that time was of the essence. He needed to learn to walk again over the next few months if he ever hoped to walk again.

Chase assured Willow that he would do it – that she was his motivation. He refused to be wheeled down the aisle when they married again at their rose garden ceremony.

Instead, Chase vowed to walk hand in hand with Willow by his side. Willow felt like Chase had to get better for himself rather than her, but Chase didn’t see why it couldn’t be both.

After Willow left the room, she spotted Michael and crumbled in his arms.

Meanwhile, crucial members of the hospital staff gathered for an emergency board meeting about Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) replacement.

Finn was haunted by Peter August (Wes Ramsey) flashbacks before he appeared and had a little moment with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) picked up on the new vibe and wondered what was going on between Liz and Dr. Finn. When Terry got updates on Finn and Liz’s teamwork on Chase’s case, she guessed the experience must’ve really bonded them.

Liz remembered when Finn touched her cheek tenderly and told Terry she could say that.

Later, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) was revealed as Cyrus’ replacement, which got smiles and cheers all around. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was the only one left looking uncomfortable with the choice.

Britt cornered Monica afterward and assumed she’d be replaced, but Monica hadn’t made any decisions about the chief of staff position yet.

That said, Monica did feel it was important for the board chairperson to get along with the person she chose. Terry piped up about how she’d like to throw her hat in the ring for the chief of staff position as well, which caught Britt off guard.

The meeting also brought the reinstatement of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy).

In prison, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) grew worried about the possibility of retaliation if they tried to prove Judge Carson’s racial bias. He wanted to scrap the idea for TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) sake and thought Alexis needed to be concerned about Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), too.

Alexis kept pushing Shawn to fight, so he lashed out over her needing to play the hero. When Alexis pointed out she was a lawyer, Shawn corrected that she was an inmate.

After they both cooled off and made peace, some guards came in and revealed that Shawn’s library access had been revoked. There was no good reason for it, so Alexis got agitated.

Things escalated into a confrontation where Alexis got shoved to the floor. One of the guards informed Alexis that she’d be headed to solitary confinement as a result.

At Kelly’s, Judge Carson found out Molly planned to take the bar exam in July. She also learned TJ was an intern at GH and praised Molly for taking a job at the DA’s office.

After Alexis landed in prison, Judge Carson suggested she wouldn’t have blamed Molly for losing faith in the system. She wished Molly good luck with the bar and offered help if she should ever need it.

TJ thought it was awesome that a judge was willing to take Molly under her wing, but Molly felt like it’d be a conflict of interest under the circumstances.

At the boxing gym, Carly wanted answers about Jason’s budding relationship, so he admitted Britt was important to him. Carly felt like anything that affected Jason affected her as well.

Carly made it clear that they had to be in this together, so Jason promised that they were still a team and that nothing would change between them.

After a warehouse explosion, Jason got a phone call and told Carly that there’d been a hit down by the docks. They were concerned since someone had just made a move against them.

As other news rolls in, we’ll keep you in the loop. General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly’s bond will be put to the test as the drama heats up. Be sure to make CDL your go-to source for all the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news posts!
