General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, April 27 Recap – Chase Near Death, Anna Brings Antidote – Peter’s New Nurse for Maxie

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 27, reveals that Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was stuck on his Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sighting right after the shooting. Jax felt certain it was Sonny in that moment, but he knew it was impossible since Sonny was dead.

While Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) sat with Jax, “Mike” opted not to visit Jax since he didn’t know him. Sonny stayed in the hallway while Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) came in alone.

After Nina learned Sonny was in the corridor, she went out to him and gave Sonny the feeling that she wanted rid of him.

Nina admitted she was wary of her past life intersecting with her new one. She alluded to not wanting Jax to find out certain things and rejected Sonny’s offer to be her bodyguard. Nina urged Sonny to let her handle her former flame on her own.

Back inside Jax’s room, Phyllis pushed him to let Nina be happy there in Nixon Falls. After Jax confessed that Phyllis and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) had been helpful to Nina, Phyllis insisted “Mike” had been a big help, too.

After Sonny and Phyllis headed back to The Tan-O, Jax insisted he came to Nixon Falls with good news. He pointed out that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was now more willing to let Nina spend time with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).

General Hospital spoilers say Nina will do whatever she can to keep her big Sonny secret in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

In Port Charles on Tuesday’s General Hospital episode, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) acted like she’d had an epiphany thanks to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).

Brook Lynn insisted she was going to take this baby more seriously, so Olivia was thrilled until Brook Lynn rushed out to deal with something.

That left suspicious Olivia to mull over what Brook Lynn was really up. Olivia felt like her lecture had gone a little too well!

At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) insisted that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had won and pushed him to hand over the antidote for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Peter taunted Anna for a while and then finally handed it over.

After Anna rushed to GH, Peter talked to Maxie about hiring a nurse to be there for her around the clock until the baby was born – and maybe even for a while afterward depending on what Maxie needed.

Maxie was hesitant to get on board until Peter suggested he could move back in instead.

Maxie suggested Peter could get some candidates for her to look at, so that satisfied Peter. However, Peter wasn’t pleased when Brook Lynn barged in demanding to talk to Maxie.

After Peter left on Tuesday’s GH episode, Brook Lynn wondered if aliens had snatched Maxie. She didn’t understand why Maxie was being so nice to Peter.

Brook Lynn pretended that they had to stick together as pregnant women, but Maxie pushed for the truth about her visit. She felt like Brook Lynn wanted something, but Brook Lynn felt like it was a matter of what they could do for each other.

At the Metro Court on Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) worried about his mental state since Olivia wanted him to be there for Maxie.

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) wondered if Dante didn’t trust Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), but Dante felt like there were no guarantees.

Sam reflected on when she had toxoplasmosis and endured hallucinations. She relied on the support of others to get through it. Dante wanted to know he’d have some help if he supported Maxie, so Sam pointed out that she was also Maxie’s friend and would pitch in.

Sam touched Dante’s hand tenderly and got Dante’s gratitude for the pep talk.

Back at GH, Chase’s body started to shut down following his seizure. A cart was wheeled in since Chase had bradycardia, but Anna arrived with the vial in the nick of time.

After Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) injected Chase’s IV bag with the antidote, Chase began to improve. Finn canceled the code as Liz looked suspicious over the mystery vial and whatever Finn was hiding.

Willow rushed back to Chase’s side while Liz informed Anna that Chase almost died. When Finn came out to thank Anna for the antidote later, she stopped him since this was all her fault. Anna assured Finn that if another dose was needed, she’d do whatever it took to make it happen.

At Pentonville, Valentin gave Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) updates on Brook Lynn’s pregnancy before talk turned to Alexis shutting her daughters out. Alexis felt like prison was far worse than she imagined, so she needed time to adjust.

Valentin felt like it was a mistake to push Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and her sisters away, so Alexis took Valentin’s advice and let him text Sam to come visit.

Later, Peter crossed paths with Valentin and mentioned his run-in with Brook Lynn earlier. Valentin pointed out that if he was forced to choose between Chase or protecting Brook Lynn and his unborn child, the choice would clearly be Brook Lynn at the baby.

Peter seemed to enjoy getting Valentin on edge and soon relayed the news that Chase was improving.
