General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, June 29 Recap – Jason Must Make Carly Disappear or Wed Her – Britt Falling In Love

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 29, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) needed to disappear Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) or wed while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was busy falling in love. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) also offered a new baby solution, so here’s how it all went down on Tuesday’s GH episode.

At Austin’s (Roger Howarth) house in Pautauk, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came in out of the rain.

After Anna admitted she thought Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby might be gone for good, Valentin ultimately convinced her not to give up hope.

The pair talked about the past, but Valentin seemed uncomfortable about Anna pitying him when he was younger. After Valentin got some firewood, Anna acknowledged Valentin’s strength both then and now.

They admired a pic of “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) on Valentin’s phone before Anna asked about his relationship with Brook Lynn.

Valentin admitted that he liked Brook Lynn, who amused him. He thought they were getting along well as co-parents.

Valentin wondered if anyone was helping Anna deal with the pain of losing Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), so she talked about her list of friends and admitted Valentin was one of them.

Anna didn’t think she could’ve gotten through these last few months without Valentin – and he felt the same way. They established that they were stuck there for the night and eventually held hands.

At the Deception meeting, Maxie congratulated Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) on her pregnancy and offered a hug.

Maxie and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) both reassured Sasha about not feeling awkward before talk turned to the father situation. Sasha alluded to it being complicated before Brook Lynn showed up.

Maxie was concerned over Brook Lynn leaving the baby to pitch ideas for her new job in social media at Deception. However, Brook Lynn insisted “Bailey” was with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and took Maxie out in the hall to explain her plan.

Brook Lynn wanted to bring Louise to the daycare center there so that Maxie could see her all the time without raising suspicions.

Once Maxie understood, Brook Lynn assured her that she wanted to protect the baby and wasn’t trying to keep Louise from her.

Maxie embraced Brook Lynn before heading back in the Deception meeting, where Sasha had the idea of candlelight vigils and keeping the Louise search in the news.

Sasha suggested they could keep people focused on the plight of missing children – in particular Maxie’s baby. Brook Lynn blurted out that it was a terrible idea, but Maxie helped smooth things over and went along with it.

At the Metro Court, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) pitched the idea of taking Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) on a vacation, but he could tell something was bothering her.

Britt interrupted, so Scott made himself scarce and gave them their mother-daughter time.

Britt brought up how Liesl broke down with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and wasn’t thrilled about it.

However, Liesl didn’t know who else she was supposed to talk to about Britt’s Huntington’s marker confirmation. She reflected on losing Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and how she’d lose Britt eventually, too.

Britt pointed out it could be quite some time before that happens and decided she’d make a deal with Liesl. She pushed her mom to avoid pouring her heart out to Jason again and just tell Scott the truth.

Britt talked about how Jason didn’t look at her differently due to her diagnosis – and Liesl pushed her daughter to be honest with Jason about how much she cared about him.

Obrecht thought that Britt should live whatever time she had left passionately with the man she was growing to love.

Meanwhile, Jason and Carly talked about marriage as a performance to prove a legal binding contract – like Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) had suggested.

Carly wanted Jason to be honest about what his enemies expected him to do about her. Jason confessed that they expected him to make Carly disappear. Jason added that exiling Carly somewhere far away might work, but Carly wasn’t keen on that idea either.

Carly didn’t want to leave her home in Port Charles, but she also didn’t want to put her family at risk.

Jason and Carly realized they’d have to consider marriage as a real possibility. It would send the message that Carly backed Jason as the head of the organization.

Carly acknowledged that Jason was the only one who understood the hole Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had left in her heart.

Although Carly knew Jason was oblivious to such things, she pointed out that people would say this is what Carly wanted – that she drove away every woman until she needed Jason.

However, Jason argued that if they took this step, they’d know why they did it and that was what mattered.

Jason also noted that there was no turning back if they did this, so they had to consider what they had to lose and gain. Carly needed some time to mull things over on her own and so did Jason, so they parted ways to consider what was ahead.

As for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she pumped Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for information about the nature of his relationship with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) after overhearing a comment from Brook Lynn.

Michael kept dodging questions and got Joss talking about college instead. He could tell his sister was overwhelmed and realized things were still off between Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).

Michael gave Josslyn a nudge in the direction of forgiveness before she returned home and found Carly looking upset.

Scott also dropped by Michael’s table at one point to fish for info about the ELQ shareholders’ meeting. Michael seemed suspicious about Scott’s interest, but Scott suggested that people could have hobbies!

As for Finn, he decided to confess to killing Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Finn planned to turn himself into the cops despite Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) wishes. However, Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) nanny brought her by for a visit since Violet couldn’t sleep.

Violet gushed about the tea party she had planned for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Chase (Josh Swickard). She wanted to make sure her daddy would be there, so Finn seemed emotionally affected by the thought of leaving his daughter.

When Scott arrived after being summoned, he wondered what his legal services were needed for.

Back with Britt, she stood deep in thought in her office at GH. Britt thought back to her passionate moments with Jason before he appeared in the doorway. Although Britt looked happy to see Jason, he looked concerned as he stared back.

As other details come in, we’ll deliver updates. General Hospital spoilers say Britt and Jason’s romance is about to get complicated, but there’s surely still hope for them – even if couple status doesn’t happen until down the road!
