General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, July 20, teases that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will be soaked after some pool payback. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will also snoop to help Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) while danger looms for Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
At the park, Liz will join Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) as they watch Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) tackle a new t-ball adventure.
It’ll be a fun day for Violet, but Finn and Liz will have to wrestle with the secret they’re keeping under wraps.
Finn killed Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and got Liz’s help covering it up, so that leaves them with a corpse issue since Peter’s body is still down in the sub-basement freezer.
There’s no way to move it without the newly restored security cameras catching everything, so Finn will be on edge.
However, Liz may hope they can just let this ride and trust that maybe the whole area’s been forgotten.
Finn will worry about the authorities not seeing things their way, but Liz will just want to make sure they never get involved in the first place.
Next, Jason will arrive and look curious about Liz’s latest interaction with Finn.
It looks like Jason may listen in and realize Liz has a bigger problem than he thought. Jason may work to help Elizabeth once he learns the whole story, but more snags are in the works!
At Ryan’s Bar, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will await more answers.
David Hopkins (Robert Leeshock) explained that he didn’t airlift Peter off the hospital rooftop, but he’ll have even more to spill.
Anna will push David to describe another man he saw on the roof that day – and GH fans know that man was Finn.
Anna will presumably get a description that matches her former flame, but she won’t quite nail down that it’s just yet. In the meantime, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will speak to Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) about an urgent matter.
It seems Laura will want Jordan to wrap something up and turn her attention to another case, so the police commissioner should do what she’s told.
As for Shawn, his freedom will soon be in the works. That means addressing a topic that can’t be avoided for much longer. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) might push Shawn to be careful and stay out of trouble once he’s on the outside.
Shawn may also be tasked with watching out for Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) since they could have targets on their backs.
Judge Carson (Anita Finley) is a powerful woman with friends in high places, so there should be some fears about how she’ll retaliate.
Shawn will also need to avoid making too many waves with his pursuit of Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) real shooter, but he won’t let a little danger stop him from seeking the truth.
Speaking of the truth, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will hope to forever conceal it. He’ll find out from TJ and Molly that Shawn’s set to be a free man if everything goes according to plan.
That’ll certainly leave Nikolas afraid that he’ll be exposed as the person behind that plot – and the person who stood by and did nothing while Shawn was stuck in prison.
On a lighter note, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will stir up trouble as usual by the Metro Court pool.
Spencer will tease Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about their budding relationship, but he’ll pay the price for it.
After Spencer makes it clear that he’s sticking around, he’ll annoy Josslyn and get himself thrown in the pool. When Spencer emerges soaking wet, he’ll come face to face with a stunned Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).
Trina will realize “Victor” is actually Spencer – son of Nikolas and someone who knows Cam and Joss quite well.
Trina will rant about how Spencer is just full of surprises and will understandably be hurt that he concealed his identity.
However, Spencer will dry off and try to explain his deception. He’ll hope for another chance and will get one even if Trina’s unwilling to forgive him right this minute.
There are still some fun Trina and Spencer scenes coming up in the weeks ahead, so there’s hope for their blossoming romance. As other GH news comes in, we’ll bring you updates.
