General Hospital Spoilers Update: Wednesday, August 18 – Nik’s Cassadine Curse – Sam’s Drew Search – Carly’s Tricky Absence

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 18, teases that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will need to escape the Cassadine curse his father left behind – and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) search for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will begin. Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) tricky absence will also lead to problems, so here’s what viewers can expect.

At the five families meeting, it looks like some of the other mob leaders will give Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) some trouble.

Carly had to ditch the meeting to check on Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) at the last minute, so that could lead to more concerns about a house divided.

However, Jason will insist that he’s in charge and will be marrying Carly soon enough. He’ll shut down any disruptions at this meeting and promise consequences if there’s any more drama.

Jason will make sure to defend Carly and demand order when things get too chaotic.

Josslyn will explain all the craziness that went down at Wyndemere, so Carly will be relieved to know her daughter’s OK.

Since Joss knows her mom awfully well, she’ll pick up on a tense vibe and fear she kept Carly from doing something significant – and GH fans know that’s the case due to this missed meeting.

Nevertheless, Carly will just have to trust that Jason can handle the other five families on his own. As for Drew, he’ll also feel like he’s on his own – that is unless Sam can come through for him!

Drew was only able to get a few words out to Sam, but he’ll hope it was enough to raise suspicions about him being alive.

While imprisoned Drew counts on Sam to get inquisitive and take actions, she’ll do just that by turning to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Curtis cared about Drew as well, so he’ll certainly be curious about the story of this unknown phone call with Drew’s voice on the other end.

Like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Curtis may be skeptical about Drew being alive. He’ll want to know what Sam honestly believes, so she may suggest her gut’s telling her Drew could still be out there.

Next, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will have someone surprising on his side in his mission to round up secret proof against Carly.

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will emerge as an ally with some words of wisdom on scoring covert evidence.

At Wyndemere, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will warn Nikolas that he’ll wind up on the same road Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly) went down if he’s not careful.

Laura won’t want Nikolas headed toward death and destruction like his father, but she’ll see the possibility for it if he doesn’t make better choices.

Nikolas obviously took the idea of teaching Spencer a lesson too far, so he’ll get put on full blast. Laura won’t understand what’s gotten into Nikolas and will chew him out since Spencer now seems innocent from their perspective.

The creepy nurse (Avery Kristen Pohl) from GH made certain of that with her latest act of arson and badge-dropping.

Of course, Spencer will battle some guilt since he really is guilty of stalking Ava. The confusion is working in Spencer’s favor right now, but he’ll wonder what Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) would think of him if he were behind the madness.

Spencer will ask if Trina would be able to forgive him, so she may admit she’s a big believer in second chances. If Trina can forgive her father for pretending to be dead, she can forgive just about anything.

Trina may think that’s something she can relate to Spencer on since he was in the same boat for many years.

Spencer will be taken aback over how understanding and caring Trina is, so we’ll see if he makes a confession at some point.

General Hospital spoilers say Trina and Spencer are quickly becoming a couple to root for, so stay tuned. CDL’s where you want to be for thrilling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so stop by often.
