General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) may kidnap “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) after Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) lies are exposed. Will this devoted papa get too attached and refuse to give up Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby?
It’d really be the perfect twist to build to when you think about it. By convincing Valentin this is his own child, Maxie and Brook Lynn are indeed giving Louise the best chance at safety. Valentin would move heaven and earth to protect this little one since he thinks “Bailey” is his own flesh and blood.
However, there’s a downside since Valentin has already fallen madly in love with “Bailey.” Valentin certainly won’t be very understanding once the truth comes out down the road.
Valentin will obviously be angry with Brook Lynn for faking this pregnancy and duping him into signing over the ELQ shares, but this goes far beyond that.
We’re talking about a pretend daughter that Valentin is already getting attached to – and things are only going to get worse in the weeks and perhaps months ahead. Valentin fully believes this precious bundle of joy is his own.
What happens when Valentin learns that’s not true and realizes Maxie’s going to want her baby back?
Valentin may decide he just can’t part ways with this little girl he’s come to love as his own. We’ve seen Valentin bolt with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and try to start a new life with her when backed into a corner.
There’s no reason Valentin can’t do that again – this time with Charlotte and “Bailey” by his side.
With Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) stuck in a coma and no sign of her waking up anytime soon, that could make it even easier for Valentin to just bolt with Charlotte and the baby.
Once Maxie decides to come forward and claim her child, she may determine she’s got a different problem on her hands.
Maxie’s been so worried about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) taking her baby that she never stopped to think about the potential for Valentin to do the same thing! That could be the direction this storyline’s headed in eventually, so we’ll pass along updates as other GH news becomes available.
