General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, April 14 Recap – Peter Controls Valentin & Anna with Antidote – Ned’s Disastrous Plan

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 14, tease that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) crossed paths with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) at the Quartermaine mansion.

Brook Lynn was sorry about the loss of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and joked with Dante about how Sonny would react to her pregnancy. However, Brook Lynn insisted she knew what she was doing.

Soon after, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) rushed in bursting with excitement about a new plan to win Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) back. Ned wanted to fill the living room with flowers – even if he had to call all the specialty shops to get them in season.

Ned wanted to get down on one knee, declare his love and ask Olivia to renew their vows.

As part of this renewal commitment, Ned showed off a flashy new ring he wanted to give Olivia. Brook Lynn suggested this was a disastrous plan, but she left Dante to explain why. Dante admitted he also thought the idea was a bad one.

Ned felt like a big mistake deserved a big gesture to fix it, but Dante didn’t think this was the way to win Olivia over. Dante felt like if Ned thought that it was, then he didn’t really know Olivia. Ned was left to mull over how he could truly win Olivia’s trust back.

Meanwhile, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) wondered why Olivia was still living in the Quartermaine mansion while separated from Ned. Olivia didn’t have a good answer to that question.

Brook Lynn wound up catching Olivia and Robert in a close moment. Although Robert suggested this was about friendship, Brook Lynn didn’t buy that’s all it was.

At the gatehouse, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) stopped by to see Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who was holding Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).

After Wiley was playing nearby, Michael expressed his gratitude over how supportive Jax had been to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Jax promised he’d always be there for Carly, but he was hopeful about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being part of Wiley’s life and didn’t think it was too much to ask. Once outside, Jax pulled out his phone to make a phone call to Nina.

Once Michael was alone with Wiley, he allowed his son to stay up later than usual since he wanted both Mommy’s boys to be waiting up for her. In Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) stooped down to help Chase since he’d just collapsed.

Chase regained consciousness and got back on the couch, so Willow dashed off to get a thermometer. Chase was losing it a bit as he rambled about how he had nothing to hide and was done with secrets.

Once Willow took Chase’s temperature and saw how high it was, she insisted on getting Chase to the hospital.

At GH, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) cornered Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to discuss unfinished business regarding Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Jackie was still furious over The Invader story, but she couldn’t do much about it on her end without being sued into oblivion due to her contract.

Jackie thought Anne Devane (Finola Hughes) might be able to help handle Peter, but Finn admitted he wasn’t in the loop on Anna and her plans these days. Later, Willow brought Chase in and called Anna with updates on his dire condition.

Finn was also paged and teamed up with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to figure out what was wrong, but Jackie was upset and lashed out since the reason for Chase’s symptoms remained a mystery. Jackie felt like Chase would just get worse and seemed terrified for her son.

At The Tan-O, Nina talked to Sonny about the stargazing spot that Elijah Crowe (Dan White) was going to take her to. “Mike” aka Sonny admitted to Nina that his gut told him something was wrong when it came to Elijah.

Moments later, Elijah arrived and chatted with Nina as well Sonny. “Mike” started asking questions about Elijah’s business interests and was obviously suspicious. Once Nina stepped away, Sonny asked Elijah why he got the feeling Elijah wasn’t who he said he was.

Back with Nina, she seemed rattled as a call came in from Jax. Nina answered it, but she made sure to keep her voice down.

In Port Charles again, Anna brought Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) up to speed on Chase’s sudden illness. Peter was surprised since he targeted Finn, but he seemed to think Chase would work just as well.

Peter called Anna’s attention to the story of how Cesar Faison poisoned Sean Donely’s (John Reilly) wife and controlled the symptoms with the antidote rather than completely cured them. This was Peter’s way of making sure Anna and Valentin did whatever he wanted.

Peter warned that in addition to letting him go, they’d have to stop the smear campaign and let Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) make decisions for herself.

Peter also insisted that their agreement would have to stay between the three of them. If Anna or Valentin let anything slip to Finn about the antidote or his involvement, the deal was off.

Later on Wednesday’s General Hospital episode, Peter was cut loose and taken to GH. That’s where Anna decided she couldn’t let Peter inflict any more damage. Anna promised that Peter was free and that Maxie could follow her heart without any interference.

When Anna pushed for the antidote, Peter praised “Auntie” for the nice speech. “But I don’t think so,” Peter said as he crossed his arms and looked smug.
