General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, December 22 Update – Michael’s Secret Phone Call – Alexis Party Blows Up – Sonny’s Gift

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 22, teases that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will make a secret phone call while Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) party blows up. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also get a special gift as Christmas approaches, so there’ll be a lot going on in Wednesday’s exciting episode.

Michael will sneak away from the Corinthos gathering to get some news over the phone. He’ll be pleased over the updates he receives, so this could involve Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) upcoming preliminary hearing.

Perhaps Michael will find out things aren’t looking good for Nina based on the judge she’s set to go before.

Then again, this could tie in with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and all the Wu family drama, but Michael doesn’t need to be keeping secrets from Sonny either way.

Sonny likes to be in control and doesn’t want Michael making a bigger mess of things, so there’ll be trouble if he learns whatever his son’s up to.

On a happier note, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will have a sweet bonding moment with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). It seems Willow will savor some family time and realize what she was missing out on before.

Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will no doubt face some grief since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) won’t be there for Christmas.

Nevertheless, Jason wouldn’t want the people he cared about to sit around and wallow. He’d want them to eat, drink and be merry on this festive occasion, so the Corinthos clan will try to do that.

Sonny wasn’t able to spend Christmas with his family last year, so it’ll be a real gift to spend it with them this year. He’ll want to revel in every minute and soak up all the holiday fun.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will have an agenda when he seeks Sonny out, but that could be as simple as stealing some extra moments with his dad and making sure he’s coping OK without Jason.

There’ll be some other holiday parties happening in Port Charles, including one at Alexis’ house.

Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will expect the unexpected – and he won’t be disappointed since it looks like another round of Cassadine turmoil is set to play out.

Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will also feel the absence of Jason more than ever, but she’ll put on a brave face and celebrate Christmas with the rest of her family.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is part of the Q fam now that he’s posing as “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August’s (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) father, so he’ll be part of the gathering.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will be glad to have Chase around – partly because she’s been struggling and partly because her attraction to him is growing stronger.

After Chase shows his enthusiasm for Brook Lynn’s upcoming idea, there could be a few more flying sparks.

At GH, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will do some volunteering and might hope to impress Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Curtis will refuse to budge when it comes to forming a real connection with his dad again.

Despite Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) attempts to nudge Curtis in a more forgiving direction, he just won’t trust Marshall enough for that.

As for Marshall, he’ll turn on the charm with Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) and express some interest in her.

Meanwhile, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will face the sad task of checking out of the hospital without her baby boy.

Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will know this is going to be difficult for Sasha, so he’ll want to be right by her side.

Unfortunately, Sasha will try to push Brando away and cope on her own. She’ll insist on heading back to her place, but Brando will think she needs to come stay with him and mourn the loss together.

Brando will deliver a heartfelt plea and hope Sasha surrenders. Liam Corbin’s death was a tough blow that’ll take time to get over, but Brando will feel like they can get through this as a team.

Next, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will realize she’s made a bit of a mess. She may come clean to Nina about revealing her Nixon Falls love story to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), who isn’t backing down on using it in court.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will suggest a brainstorming session in hopes of smoothing things over, but that won’t accomplish much.

Nina and Sonny’s secret romance is going to explode whether they like it or not, so they’d better be ready!
