General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, June 16 Recap – Peter’s Dead Body in Sub-Basement Freezer – Cyrus’ Paternity Clue for Finn

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 16, reveals that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) dead body was shown in a sub-basement freezer flashback while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) offered a paternity clue to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).

For starters, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) had a tough conversation about Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) imminent death.

Although Gregory wasn’t happy about being lied to all those years, he had no regrets since that lie allowed him to be a father to Chase – and he wouldn’t change a thing about that.

Next, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) visited Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and fished for information about who’d been offering support. Curtis talked about his growing connection to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), but he feared he’d blown his chance by pushing her away.

Nina talked about her time in Nixon Falls and how she was missing it already. As Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) approached the door with discharge papers for Curtis, she eavesdropped as he talked about a change he sensed in Portia.

Once Stella rejoined Curtis, she admitted she had some things to take care of back in England and wanted him to stay at her place on Charles Street in the meantime. Stella insisted that a hotel was not a home, so Curtis took her up on her offer.

Portia filled Laura Collins (Genie Francis) in on how she didn’t want to risk her friendship with Curtis. As for Finn, he left Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) puzzled when he insisted that Peter would never be found.

Anna found Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and admitted security was giving her a hard time about handing over the footage.

Britt noted that Cyrus had some of the cameras in the stairwells turned off, so she guessed the people in security were just trying to cover their own butts. Anna thought that was a good explanation for why Peter hadn’t been seen leaving GH.

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was surprised when Britt offered an apology for their earlier tension. Britt wanted to restore Liz to full-time status and insisted that the hospital would be fully cooperating with Anna’s search for Peter.

Liz found out Anna was headed to the roof and flashed back to what happened in the aftermath of Peter’s death.

The flashback revealed that Liz and Finn placed Peter’s dead body in the lab of the sub-basement. Their plan was to leave Peter in the freezer until the search died down. Up on the roof, Anna found the service elevator door and jiggled the handle that would lead to that lab if opened.

When Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) found out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had agreed to marry Chase, she wondered why since Willow was in love with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Willow wanted to grant Chase’s dying wish and was willing to make this sacrifice, so Sasha got on board and hugged the bride-to-be.

As for Chase, he had a coughing fit that resulted in blood coming up. Chase found out his organs were shutting down, so he had to fight or else he wouldn’t survive the night.

He was told Willow he was glad they got the marriage license yesterday and asked Willow to marry him – right here, right now.

Cyrus got a visit from Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), who revealed she had full immunity and could rat Cyrus out for everything he’d forced her to do.

Although Cyrus felt Jordan would lose all trust with the public, Jordan was most concerned about making sure Cyrus went down for his crimes. She noted that Cyrus was being sent to a maximum-security penitentiary in the Midwest.

Cyrus was going to be far away from all his old contacts and connections. Soon after, it was time for Cyrus to be transferred to the infirmary of his new facility. Jordan taunted Cyrus about his long recovery and pointed out that he had nothing but time on his hands.

Cyrus ran into Laura as he was wheeled out, so she took the opportunity to point out he could’ve done so much good at the hospital. Instead, Cyrus was being stripped of power and locked up.

Laura felt she could establish a bond with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), but she assured Cyrus he would never be her family.

Cyrus disagreed since he thought he was already inside Laura’s head and felt they had a similar darkness in them. He was anxious to see what changes would be in store for Laura before they ultimately met again.

Once Cyrus was taken away, Jordan assured Laura that she was nothing like Cyrus – though she understood how it was hard to shake off something like that.

Before they could finally put this Cyrus nightmare behind them, Jordan insisted there was one thing left to do: tender her resignation.

Back with Finn, he was with Jackie when he spotted Cyrus in his wheelchair on the elevator. Cyrus suggested it was fortunate that Finn found out the paternity truth before Chase died – that way he could bond with Chase as his son.

Finn thought about the failed cure and gasped before rushing off, so it seems he finally caught on and realized the paternity results weren’t accurate.

In the Corinthos family kitchen, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) wanted to talk about his future. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) were there to listen, but Brando’s plan was concerning.

Jason reminded Brando that he could run the garage, but Brando felt more alive than he had in a long time doing the work he’d been doing these last few days.

Brando wanted to feel like he was making a difference and seemed interested in keeping up his active role in the family business. Jason pointed out that Brando needed to think about Sasha and the baby now, too.

Once Brando was gone, Carly and Jason had a brief strategy session. Jason thought it was confusing to the five families about who was in charge now, so he felt they had to handle this just right.

Britt called moments later and chuckled over Jason’s subdued reaction to Cyrus’ reign of terror being over.

Britt pointed out that she was done being Cyrus’ mole, so they agreed seeing each other would have to be because they want to. Carly was curious about what exactly was going on between Britt and Jason.

We’ll fill you in as other GH news and updates come in. General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Jason will find some new reasons to clash soon, so keep watching!
