General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, March 24 Recap – Peter’s Stalks Maxie - Nina Lets Bitter Widow Carly Be Miserable

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 24, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tried to tell Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) something important over the phone, but Carly snapped that she knew what this was about.

Carly argued that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) said Nina would try to sue for visitation rights.

Carly argued that if Nina pushed, they’d push back even harder. She warned that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) would destroy Nina in court and added that Nina had already blown her chance.

Nina kept trying to get Carly to stop, but Carly ranted about how Nina would lose if she pursued legal action and would never get near Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) again.

Nina eventually admitted there was something else she wanted to talk to Carly about, but it didn’t matter anymore. Nina insisted that Carly just made her life more miserable. She added that Carly made her bed and would have to lie in it alone.

After Nina hung up, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wondered who got Nina so upset over the phone. Nina suggested it was just a “bitter widow” and confessed the story of finding out about her daughter after she was already dead.

Nina told Sonny that this widow had a chance to save her daughter and hesitated. When Nina admitted her ex helped cover it up, Sonny argued that was “damn awful.”

Nina reflected on her daughter’s troubles and how things would’ve been better for her if Nina could’ve been her mother.

Sonny suggested it was best to live in the moment and not get caught up in what might’ve happened. Nina spoke about the widow being her grandson’s other grandmother and trying to keep Nina away from him.

Sonny didn’t understand how anyone could keep people who loved each other apart and suggested maybe the widow just needed to understand how it felt.

Nina smiled as Sonny suggested it felt like destiny for them to meet. He felt like this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Back with Carly in Port Charles, she filled Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on being a little harsh with Nina over the phone. However, Carly was adamant that she had to be that way now that Sonny was gone.

Carly warned Michael not to back down on his Wiley stance and mentioned Nina’s weird threat over the phone. Carly compared Nina to Nelle, but Michael didn’t think they belonged in the same category. Although Carly didn’t think so before, today changed her mind.

Meanwhile on Wednesday’s General Hospital episode, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reflected on how maybe he never really knew Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry).

Jordan was like a stranger since she hadn’t shown Curtis the real her. Curtis opened up about this to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who was apologetic about lying to Curtis all those years ago.

Portia said she should’ve told Curtis she was married, but she really fell for him and was afraid she’d lose him. Portia admitted it ended up happening anyway, but she hoped Curtis knew that she wouldn’t lie to him now. It was established that Curtis knew he could trust Portia.

In lockup at the PCPD, Jordan said there’d been a new development and explained to Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) that Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) had been kidnapped.

Taggert found out Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) had been backed into a corner as a result, so Jordan thought Taggert should change his plea to not guilty.

Later, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) visited Taggert and forgave him for lying about his faked death. Talk turned to Jordan’s advice, but Taggert was concerned about getting his freedom and causing Cyrus to retaliate against Trina.

Trina didn’t want to be the reason Taggert went to prison and pushed him to enter a not guilty plea. She felt like the judge and jury would be sympathetic to Taggert’s situation since he did the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Trina was willing to vouch for Taggert as a hero and looked forward to hugging him once he was a free man.

At The Metro Court, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) mentioned having a reason to celebrate before promising to get Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) a Shirley Temple.

When Valentin crossed paths with Anna near the bar, they discussed his new baby as well as Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Valentin promised that as long as he had breath in his body, Anna would have a shoulder to cry on.

Later, Valentin finally filled Charlotte in on the news that she was getting a little brother or sister. Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) freaked out, even after Valentin noted that Charlotte was OK with Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan).

Charlotte argued that one brother was enough and didn’t want to share all her favorite things. Valentin realized Charlotte seemed insecure about sharing her papa’s attention, so he promised he’d never love anyone the way he loved Charlotte. Valentin crossed his heart and hoped to die.

Anna had some girl talk with Jordan where they unsuccessfully tried to avoid talking about work. However, Jordan admitted it was important since it related to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and the baby.

Anna felt like Peter was awfully good at covering his tracks and pushed Jordan to take a closer look at Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder case.

Jordan argued that it was practically airtight, but Anna felt Peter had far more of a motive to kill Franco than Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At GH, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) revealed her baby bump to Maxie and admitted Valentin was the father.

Brook Lynn then wondered if Peter August (Wes Ramsey) would be in Maxie’s baby’s life. Maxie was unsure and asked the same question about Brook Lynn’s baby and Valentin.

Brook Lynn suggested she was still figuring things out before Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) came over to suggest Brook Lynn would need to get her medical records transferred.

Brook Lynn mentioned having an OB-GYN in Kings County, so Britt thought it might be someone named Lenore Thompson who she went to medical school with.

Brook Lynn said she’d never heard of her and kept trying to change the subject, even as Maxie pushed Britt to be BLQ’s new OB-GYN. Brook Lynn wasn’t interested and put off Britt’s attempts to hook her up with someone else at GH.

There was talk about Valentin being a breathing partner at Lamaze class, which Brook Lynn didn’t want. Over with Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau), he offered to buy Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) a drink after Felix finished overseeing that class.

Lucas joined Brook Lynn and noticed she was pregnant, so he knew they had a lot to talk about. Brook Lynn admitted that’s why she was at GH, so Maxie got the brilliant idea for Lucas to be Brook Lynn’s birthing coach.

Brook Lynn argued that it was insensitive due to everything that happened with Wiley and kept trying to avoid the class. None of Brook Lynn’s strategies worked, so Maxie led Brook Lynn away by the arm.

Once the Lamaze class was in progress, Peter burst in out of breath and quipped that the traffic was murder. He was eager to be there for Maxie since he saw the appointment on her calendar, but Britt hustled him out and suggested stalking Maxie wasn’t the way to get her back.

After Britt returned to Maxie, she expressed concern over continuing to give Peter false hope. Maxie alluded to her plan and how Peter wouldn’t know what hit him. Finally, Brook Lynn spoke to Lucas privately.

Lucas was honored to be helping Brook Lynn as her birthing coach, but Brook Lynn wasn’t as certain he would be once she revealed what she had planned.
