General Hospital (GH) spoilers for week for the week of August 23-27 tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will score a new Drew Cain (Billy Flynn) ally while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) makes a heartbreaking return. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will also plan a painful confession, so here’s what fans can expect.
First, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will quiz Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about his suspicious behavior.
This could mean Brook Lynn will get a clue about Chase helping Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) – or maybe Brook Lynn will realize Chase seems to know the truth about Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Brook Lynn may even realize Chase has been hiding his progress, but Willow will find out about that progress soon enough. Willow will get ready to spill her true feelings to Chase and break his heart in the process.
However, Willow should be in for a shock since Chase already knows she hooked up with Michael and wants him instead.
Over with Austin, he’ll gain a new perspective when it comes to Michael.
That doesn’t mean Austin will give up on getting his piece of the Quartermaine pie, but he might soften toward Michael and begin to resent him a little less.
Once Maxie makes her way back to Port Charles, she’ll cross paths with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) right off the bat.
Maxie will struggle with her heartbreak before running into Austin, who’ll seem awfully attentive to Maxie’s needs from where Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is standing!
Scott will likely push for answers about Austin’s interest in Maxie and whether it’s of the romantic variety.
As for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’ll work to calm Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) down as they prepare for their speedy wedding.
Jason will also speak with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about the rift between Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), so we’ll see if they can find any sort of solution.
Jax and Carly will do their best to keep the peace for Josslyn’s sake, but it won’t be easy.
On another note, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will pay Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) a visit at Spring Ridge and perhaps get some guidance on his demolished relationship with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
As for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), he’ll react to a pleasant surprise – and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will accidentally stir up some trouble at GH.
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will clash thanks to Liz’s actions, so she may feel obligated to help them make amends, too.
Next, Sam will turn to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for help with the search for Drew. We’ll also see Sam consider her future, so there may be part of her that wonders what it’d be like to reunite with Drew.
Of course, Sam is also open to dating Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but finding Drew has suddenly become the priority.
In Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will face a bombshell when a familiar character shows up and gets to know “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
It looks like Ava Jerome (Maura West) could become a complication in Nina’s new life, but Nina won’t give up her fresh start without a fight.
