In tonight’s The Blacklist episode, the episode begins with Mr. Townsend having a nap and Vandyke losing it because he is forbidden access. Vandyke wants to advise Townsend that Elizabeth Keen is under federal custody in a federal convoy.

Cooper asks Aram where Liz is, he tells him that the decoy convoy is on the way, Liz in another vehicle six minutes back and 23 minutes out. Ressler is in the car with Liz, she asks him why he is doing this. He tells her that Townsend will kill her, he is not going to see Agnes cry over her rave. She says it is over, she will never be an agent again. What she has done she cannot undo. Mary’s death, the bomb, things are never going back to the way they were.

Cooper is with Raymond Reddington, Red tells him off for abiding by bureaucratic protocol. He has always wanted to keep Liz safe. And, because Townsend knows the truth, he is shifting his focus from Red to Liz. He wants Red to understand that he suffered the day his family was slaughtered. He wants to kill Liz to make him understand, to avenge what was done to his family. He wanted Red to experience the same darkness himself. He tells Cooper that he cannot protect her and he is about to find out what he is up against.

Ressler tells Liz that he lets how much he cares about her cloud his judgment, he can’t do that. She says they really don’t know who Red is, only that he is responsible for killing a lot of her family – and they work with him. She goes rogue, and she has gone too far. Aram is monitoring their progress. Cops pull up beside them and Aram tells them that he didn’t ask for police backup, those are not cops.

Guns go off, one police car gets turned over, then everyone crashes. Ressler wakes up, the driver is dead, Ressler gets out of the car and is laying on the ground. A man is standing over him and asks where Liz is, she says right behind him and she shoots the guy, saving Ressler’s life. Another SUV has arrived on the scene, it is Vandyke. He tells Townsend that the convoy is down, but she is on foot. Townsend says to bring her to him, and if someone gets in his way, just kill her.

Aram tells Cooper and Red that a woman witnessed a man and a woman on foot running from the scene of the crash, they know they are on foot. Liz manages to get Ressler the inside of a building, she tries to patch him up a bit. She hears glass smashing, Liz goes out and shoots a couple of guys then tells Ressler that they have to keep moving.

Dembe tells Red that even if they can avoid the police and Townsend’s men, Liz won’t be easy to find. He agrees, he wants to find Balthazar Baker, know as Bino, who owns an unground chess club. Red goes to see Bino, he asks him to make some phone calls. Meanwhile, Ressler is on the phone with Red, she thinks it is Aram and gives their location. Bino tells Red that if they can get to the Outpost, somebody will be waiting to help them when they get there, it is three blocks away.

Ressler and Liz are running, Vandyke sees them and orders to have them cut off. They make it inside the Outpost, but outside, Vandyke and his men are there and guns are going off. A woman comes out from beneath a hidden wall and tells Ressler and Liz to follow her. Vandyke is inside, they are gone, and he doesn’t know where they went.

Aram and Park are on the scene, they have no idea where Liz and Ressler are but there were gunshots heard at the Outpost and they head there. Meanwhile, Vandyke tells them to keep searching, but he hears police sirens and has no choice but to leave. Vandyke calls Townsend who is furious that Liz has vanished.

Ressler and Liz are handed off to another guy, the woman explains that they are the baton and will be passed on until their final destination. The two must now get inside of a Hearst.

Red calls Cooper and tells him that he has Liz and Ressler. In the Hearst, Liz tells Ressler that she loves him, he says she waited for him to die to tell him.

Townsend stops by to some kids; he gives them money to find Liz and Ressler. The kids line up for the cash. One of the kids is Anton, he runs right to Bino and tells him. Bino calls Red, he tells him that if he knew Townsend was involved, he would never have gotten involved. Townsend doesn’t know it is him, so there is no problem. Bino tells him that he is more afraid of Townsend than he is of him.

Red stops by to the Outpost, Arthur is there, he is cleaning up. Red asks him for information, just when the woman comes through the secret wall and she tells Red that she is the one that helped his friend.

Ressler is getting medical care; a woman tells Liz that his lung is badly damaged, and she doesn’t know if he will make it. Ressler is not conscious; Liz says the choice that she made are not his fault. Red, Tom, lives in a world where people who not who they say they are, and it is hard to know who to believe. But Ressler has always been there for her, telling her the truth, being real, and she loves him for that. She said it, in the back of a Chinese restaurant. She tells him that he is ok, they are going to make it out of there, she promises. Bino walks in and tells her that that is a promise that she won’t be able to keep.

The woman gives Red and Dembe the next name in the pipeline, the Hearst driver. Once there, they find out that Ressler and Liz are at the Shanghai restaurant.

Bino tells Liz that Red didn’t tell him that she was running from Townsend. She tells him they are in the same boat, Red has held information from her too. She tells him that if he wants to make peace with Townsend, he should kill Red. Bino tells his thug to put Liz in the car, then he turns to the “doctor” who helped keep Ressler alive and tells her to make sure Ressler doesn’t wake up, undo what she did. Park and Aram burst through the doors, just as the woman is about to do in Ressler, Red gave them the location. Ressler wakes up and says, “castle,” Bino took her to Townsend’s club.

Bino calls Townsend, he tells him that Liz will be waiting at a club that he owns, and this was all an unfortunate mistake. Townsend hangs upon him.

Liz and Bino are in the club, she tells him he shouldn’t have done this, Bino says it is a calculated risk and he thinks his chances are good. Liz says Townsend is going to kill them both. There is a knock at the door, it is Red and Dembe, he says checkmate and kills Bino.

Liz picks up his gun, Red says he doesn’t expect a thank you, but this. She says they are all dead because of him. Dembe tells him that they have to go, put the gun down. Red says everything he tried to prevent happened. His secrets are out, and they are coming, he failed, he tried to protect her. They hear a car, it is Townsend and his thugs. Dembe says they are coming front and back, Red says that is not good.

THE END!
