The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers say John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the true father of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) baby – and that can only mean good things for Finn’s future.
If Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) had stuck as the father of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) second child, that would’ve meant an unnecessary Spencer addition.
The Spencers have already established their place on the show, but Finn’s still the new kid on the block. It was up in the air whether Finn would have staying power, but it seems Finn may indeed have it based on thepaternity news.
B&B’s giving Finn a baby with Steffy, who’s obviously an important character that many fans root for.
Now The Bold and the Beautiful has a chance to explore stories that break Steffy out of the Spencer orbit and focus on her path forward with Finn. By making Steffy’s next kid a Finnegan, B&B opens the door to building a new family on canvas – one that extends beyond the “Sinn” family unit.
Finn could have parents or siblings that come on the scene eventually. It seems like the right call considering Finn will become a dad and presumably have family members who want to meet this little bundle of joy.
It’d be great to see Finn get more of a backstory along with some Finnegan fam complications to make things interesting.
Regardless, it would’ve been easy to write Finn out if the baby had remained Liam’s. There wouldn’t have been anything to tie Finn to the canvas permanently. The fact the baby’s going to be Finn’s instead is a good sign about the character’s longevity.
It means Finn has a forever reason to stick around and remain in Steffy’s life.
This means B&B is all in on “Sinn” and putting “Steam” in the rearview mirror. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Finn and Steffy are poised for baby bliss following the true paternity revelation.
There’ll be some dark moments building up to that, but everything should be just fine in the end. Steffy and Finn are delighted with their engagement and are gearing up for a “Sinn” wedding, so let’s hope this romance will be built to last.
