With Noelle and Novlan as the focal points of this piece let it be said that they served as the perfect vehicles to reprimand Steffy and Liam. Steam’s arrogance, as expressed by Steffy and Liam saying in an earlier episode, to each other, that they didn’t regret what happened, telegraphed the open rebuke they’ve now received.

Hope told Steffy what she didn’t want to hear what couldn’t be denied. Yes, Liam was out of sorts on that fated night. But Steffy, who’s often been praised for her strength, had a clear mind.
So, why would Steffy have allowed Liam to further a situation that never should have happened? Hope knows the answer and said it directly to her longtime rival.
Steffy has often daydreamed about reviving her life with Liam. Now, even after she’s met a truly wonderful guy in Finn, Steffy allowed a Steam reconnect that could result in them having another baby.

A fully delivered kicker would have Finn certified as the father of Steffy’s expected baby this month. Writing the opposite would pull the soapy table out from under the wonderful, dual reprimand that just happened.
As Finn told Liam, if Novlan’s character is the father of the baby then Liam’s relationship with Steffy is over. Yes, Liam surely will continue seeing Kelly. But everything else that Liam has expected and taken for granted will end.
And, as Hope asked Steffy, what is her motherly intuition telling her? Who is the father, which means who does Steffy want that man to be?
