The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that it’s still early in Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pregnancy, but we should really start thinking ahead to this baby’s birth. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) has been declared the father for now, but a paternity twist is likely looming.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) should be given the father title once this story winds down, but the timing of that bombshell remains up in the air.
B&B writers no doubt have some great material in mind based on this bio dad misunderstanding, which Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) presumably created by fixing the results.
It’s possible the truth will come out before Steffy brings this little one into the world. However, we also have to consider the possibility that the story will drag on and allow Liam to connect with the baby. It’d really raise the stakes once that child was ripped away and given back to Daddy Finn.
Regardless, there’s bound to see some delivery room drama if Liam still believes he’s the father by then. Even before the birth, there’ll be discussions about how this is going to go down.
As the man Steffy loves, Finn may feel like he should be the person to coach her through this. There’s perhaps no one Steffy would rather have by her side than calming, comforting Finn.
Nevertheless, Liam is the father at this point in the story and that’s not something he’ll let Finn forget! Liam may argue that he won’t let Finn rob him of the chance to watch his child being born.
Liam may think this is a co-parenting situation that Finn needs to stay out of, but Finn might contend that Steffy’s wishes and well-being must come first.
From Finn’s perspective, he might think Steffy would feel more comfortable having him to hold her hand and observe with his medical expertise. That’s especially true if Finn ends up being Steffy’s husband by then!
Finn may think there’ll be plenty of time for Liam to meet and bond with “Steam” baby number two after the delivery.
Of course, Liam might believe Finn’s trying to impose his own views on Steffy. It could put Steffy on the spot since wouldn’t want to deprive Liam of this important daddy moment – yet Finn really is the person she’d rather have with her during what can often be a scary, traumatic experience.
Giving birth is no easy task, so Steffy needs to do what works for her and no one else.
With that in mind, having both Liam and Finn around could stress Steffy out, too. There could be tension that’d make the ordeal more difficult and add to Steffy’s fears overall. That’s certainly something Finn could use in an argument to ban Liam from the delivery room.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam and Finn will find reasons to battle it out down the road, so this could be one of them.
