The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, February 8, reveal that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) found Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) in the Forrester Creations CEO office.
Talk quickly turned to the paternity test that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) had done. Brooke said that she thought the kids were all in a good place.
After rehashing how Steffy and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) spent the night together after Liam saw Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) the mannequin, Brooke and Ridge agreed that the situation could have a lifetime of consequences. “Why did it have to happen?” Brooke lamented.
“Liam made a mistake – he felt the need to be loved by someone,” Ridge fumed. Brooke and Ridge agreed that this could be a very trying time for all their kids, and that they couldn’t pretend that this was an ideal situation.
Brooke said that this situation wasn’t fair to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) at all, and that she hoped the paternity test results didn’t take Hope’s happiness away.
Meanwhile, Steffy and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) waited at the cliff house for Dr. Campbell (Tina Huang) to call saying that the paternity test results were in.
Steffy thought that Finn was amazing for staying with her throughout this, and Finn said that there’s no way he’d walk away from Steffy.
Steffy mused that nothing seemed to rattle Finn, and Finn smiled, saying that Steffy rattled him the first time he saw her. Finn went on, saying that being with Steffy makes him happier than he ever thought he could be.
“You inspire me,” Finn said, saying that he wasn’t going to let one error in judgment derail what he and Steffy have.
“I can see how much you regret that night,” Finn said. Finn gazed at the portrait on the wall, saying that he believed that Steffy loved him, and that he could make her happier than she was in the portrait.
“We can have a beautiful life,” Finn assured Steffy. “We’ll get the paternity results and move on.”
As Steffy and Finn were talking, Steffy’s phone rang and it was Dr. Campbell. Dr. Campbell told Steffy that she expected to have the paternity test results within the hour. Steffy said that she and Finn would be right there.
Meanwhile, at the cabin, Hope and Liam tried to coexist, but Hope wasn’t feeling like making nice. Hope said that she was disappointed and heartbroken for them and their kids.
“This just feels deliberate and senseless,” Hope ranted. “And now Steffy is pregnant with a child.” Hope then asked Liam if he wanted Steffy’s baby to be his.
Liam was astounded by the question, but he didn’t immediately answer. Liam then insisted that the answer was a clear no. “The life I want is with you – this is where I belong,” Liam said.
“I pray Finn is the father.” Just then, Liam’s phone rang, and it was Steffy calling to see if he and Hope could come to the hospital.
Liam told Steffy that they’d be there soon. After hanging up, Liam told Hope that nothing changes his commitment to the life he wants with her. “You had already made a commitment, and if you were so sure, you wouldn’t have thought that I kissed Thomas,” Hope griped.
Liam attempted to explain how he shattered when he thought he saw Hope in Thomas’ arms.
“I want Steffy’s baby to have a happy life, but I want our marriage and our life,” Liam told Hope. Liam said that he was begging Hope to give him a way to earn his way back to her.
