The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the show’s hit a brick wall when it comes to Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) love life, so should Thomas cross over to The Young and the Restless for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)? Thomas’ romantic potential is being wasted on B&B, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea.
It was disappointing for many reasons when Sally was written out of The Bold and the Beautiful. Not only did the show lose a great actress in Courtney Hope, they lost another love interest for Thomas.
Plenty of fans were holding out hope that Thomas and Sally might get back together, but Sally exited the canvas and took that reunion chance along with her.
However, good news followed when Y&R hired Hope and put Sally in some new storylines in Genoa City.
Sally’s more important than ever in GC since The Young and the Restless is facing two crucial losses in the younger portion of their cast.
Hunter King (Summer Newman) and Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) are exiting Y&R, so that leaves a huge hole and the need for a hot new couple to fill it.
Sally could also use a love interest since she’s on the verge of blowing things with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) once again – and he was never the ideal match for her anyway.
Meanwhile, we’ve got Thomas stuck in a state of perpetual pining on B&B.
Thomas isn’t obsessed with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) any longer, but he can’t seem to escape his love for her either. The show’s left Thomas in a weird Hope limbo and doesn’t seem interested in giving him the steamy romance he deserves.
All Thomas’ stories seem to tie in with Hope, but why? What’s the point if they’re never going to put Hope and Thomas together as a legitimate couple?
Thomas would arguably be far more useful on The Young and the Restless right now since he could find renewed love with Sally and give Y&R a sizzling duo to root for.
It’d at least be nice to see a temporary crossover storyline that allows Sally and Thomas to reconnect. A simple business trip could lead to the pair crossing paths.
Even just one night of passion would be enough to shake things up for both characters on both shows.
It might remind Thomas that there are other women in the world and convince him to move on. Regardless, we see real romantic potential in a crossover story of some sort for Thomas and Sally.
Could Thomas be the next character to hit Genoa City – or could Sally hook up with him during an LA trip?
