The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) engagement ring will cause some drama and set up John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) shocking move ahead of his mom’s visit. Let’s look at what we know so far.
During the week of July 12-16, Steffy will be perplexed as Finn looks at the ring he gave her. Finn will hold it in his hands, so he’ll apparently slip it off Steffy’s finger and do some contemplating.
This could lead Finn to talk about why he decided to give Steffy this particular ring, which was a family heirloom.
When Finn proposed, he told Steffy he was giving her his mother’s ring and admitted he’d had it for years.
It led to speculation that Finn’s mom might be dead since she wasn’t using her ring, which could still be the case despite some recent casting news.
Naomi Matsuda will debut in the role of Li Finnegan on August 2, and B&B spoilers are indeed calling her “Finn’s mother.”
However, that doesn’t mean Li is the same mom Finn inherited the ring from. It’s possible Finn’s biological mom died when he was young – maybe even in childbirth.
Finn’s father might’ve gone on to marry Li, who has perhaps served as the only real mother Finn has ever known.
Of course, it’s also possible this is truly Li’s ring, which could cause issues if she doesn’t approve of Steffy as Finn’s bride-to-be.
Bottom line, we’re probably looking at one of two options here. Li might feel snubbed if Finn proposed using his bio mom’s ring, so that’s option number one.
Option number two is that it really is Li’s ring and she objects to it being on Steffy’s finger.
Regardless, there’s going to be some drama that ties in with Steffy’s engagement ring soon.
Finn will make a move that baffles Steffy during the week of July 19-23, so he might even offer a new ring if he fears trouble is on the horizon.
That could throw Steffy for a loop before Finn’s parents show up, so we’ll see if an engagement ring swap is something Finn considers. We’ll deliver updates as other B&B news emerges.
