General Hospital Wednesday, July 22 Recap: Maxie’s Phone Call, Baby Name, Trina’s Creepy Stalker

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, July 22, indicates that fans got a baby name reveal while Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) stalker story got underway.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) also called up someone surprising, so let’s talk about all Wednesday’s action.

At the Aurora gym, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) encountered Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), which led to a conversation about his time at the clinic in Germany.

Jordan admitted Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) offered to score her a spot there in exchange for doing her a favor, but she had no regrets about turning him down.

Michael acknowledged that the clinic was very exclusive and that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) had to help him get in, but he offered to make calls and see what he could do to help Jordan anyway.

Once Jordan was gone, Michael was taken aback over a phone call from Maxie.

At GH, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) didn’t look happy when he found Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) holding the baby and sharing a sweet moment with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), but both Isaiah and Curtis managed to keep things civil.

Since Portia was supposed to be discharged today if all went well, Curtis hoped that maybe he could join her for the baby’s first night at home.

Portia pumped the brakes on that and had a conversation with Curtis about boundaries.

Over with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), she was glad to hear Portia was requesting her for her discharge exam.

That exam went fine and led to Portia acknowledging that Britt deserved a second chance at the hospital.

Curtis also shared a heart-to-heart with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) while filling out paperwork and suggested she’d always felt like more of a mother than an aunt to him.

Later, Portia was wheeled out along with the baby and told Curtis that she liked the name he’d suggested.

That led to Curtis introducing Desmond Robinson Ashford (Yirah Aviah Lafond) to a delighted Stella while Isaiah frowned in the distance looking like an outsider.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) talked things out with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and realized she needed to let Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) decide for herself about living with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, she discreetly put the flash drive Brick (Stephen A. Smith) brought her in a drawer.

Valentin spilled his belief that the black box belonged to Brennan and planned to strike a deal for it.

Although Valentin was convinced this was the way to unfreeze his accounts and assets, Carly had concerns about Brennan killing Valentin once he got the box back.

Lulu arrived to say she was willing to let Charlotte decide where she wanted to live and acknowledged Charlotte would choose Valentin.

However, Lulu’s one condition was that Valentin provide an actual home for Charlotte that wasn’t Carly’s place or a Metro Court suite, so Valentin said to consider it done.

After Lulu warned Carly to tell her if Charlotte was in danger, Carly gazed over at the drawer where she’d stashed the flash drive containing Valentin dirt.

At the PCPD, Brennan stopped by to see Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and shut down her theory about Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) on the pier, but he insisted the real shooter’s identity was classified.

Anna brought up the missing evidence in the case, which led to Brennan pointing out that it was already gone when Cullum came looking for it.

Although Anna was fixated on all this, Brennan pushed her to stop digging and hinted about the shooter’s motive being protection.

Another Peter August (Wes Ramsey) hallucination appeared after Brennan left and scolded Anna since he felt she should’ve been asking about Britt.

Next, Simon (Grady Eldridge) the music executive met with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Trina and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), but he now wanted to sign them as separate artists instead of a musical duo.

Gio wasn’t interested in pursuing a solo career, so Trina and Gio informed Simon that they were only willing to agree to their original offer.

Simon caved in since it was better than losing them both and told someone over the phone that Trina was the one to watch.

Meanwhile, Kai Taylor (Jenz Austin Astrup) met up with his former teammate and friend, Quinn (Jequan Jackson), who wanted to make amends for his past behavior.

Kai pushed Quinn to apologize to Trina for how he treated her when he unfairly blamed her for Kai’s derailed football career.

Quinn indeed gave Trina an apology when she joined Kai, who also learned she signed her music deal with Gio.

While Kai and Trina were celebrating in a romantic moment, Quinn glared at them.

GH fans eventually saw that someone had made a board full of Trina’s pictures, so her stalker storyline officially kicked off.

General Hospital spoilers say Trina could have some dangerous news ahead of her, so stay tuned.
