The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a big moment is coming up for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) – and for her portrayer! Since Wood is pregnant with her second child, her maternity leave is rapidly approaching.
Wood is sure to go out with a bang based on the timing of a major revelation for her character.
Steffy recently learned that her paternity test would have to be put on hold for a bit. She can’t get the DNA confirmation she’s looking for until she passes the eight-week mark. Fortunately, it won’t be that much longer until a paternity test happens.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say a paternity test will indeed get underway during the week of February 1 – and it’ll bring some explosive tension. You can be sure John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will become even bigger rivals as they await “baby daddy” updates.
Of course, it may take some time for the results of the test to come in. There might be a delay in processing that causes this tension to rise even further. That goes for the tension between Steffy and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), too.
There’s also the tension in Hope and Liam’s marriage to think about, so there’ll be some anxious moments all around. Steffy has a lot riding on this paternity test outcome, so she’ll nervously wait to find out whether Finn or Liam is the father.
The question is: Will B&B fans find out the truth before Steffy goes on maternity leave? It would be a great cliffhanger to set up Steffy’s eventual return if they left it a mystery, though that might be kind of hard to swing.
If Steffy just bolts without warning, that would lead everyone to believe Liam is the father. There wouldn’t be much of a mystery since Steffy would happily tell Finn the news if he were the bio dad.
However, B&B could have Steffy reveal what she believes to be the outcome – whether that be Finn as the father or Liam as the father. It could set up a twist that perhaps shows viewers that the results were possibly tampered with. The Bold and the Beautiful may plant some doubt in fans’ minds about the true bio dad.
It’s easy to imagine Steffy heading off on an extended vacation with Finn after he’s confirmed as the father, but would that be the truth? Likewise, we could just as easily see Steffy take some time away to deal with the news that Liam is the father – not realizing the results have potentially been altered.
Whatever the case, Steffy’s paternity test results should signal her temporary exit. Wood’s maternity leave departure has to be coming up by the end of February or so.
If B&B leaves fans with some sort of twist, there’ll definitely be something to look forward to when Steffy gets back in the action!
