The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 1, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) swore on his life that Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) death was an accident – and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was the victim of a fake-out victory.
At the police station on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) thought whatever Liam had to say must be pretty serious if he’d come all the way down there with his wife and father.
Bill suggested that they’d disagreed on something and that Liam was trying to make a whole case out of nothing.
However, Liam argued that he knew what he was doing – and Baker encouraged Bill to let Liam speak. Bill countered what with these kids today, everything was the end of the world.
Bill added that whatever Liam said was only going to confuse things, but Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) said they were there to clear things up.
Baker wondered if this was some kind of family dispute or domestic problem, but he got called away on an urgent matter. While Bill was alone with Liam and Hope, he insisted Liam should think of his family and walk out of there right now.
Hope insisted Liam couldn’t live with the secret, but Bill wondered if that was more important than missing his kids’ milestones in a prison cell.
Liam eventually said Bill had a point and told Bill they’d meet him back at his office. Bill was so relieved that Liam had listened to reason and felt his son had made the right choice.
Once Liam pulled Hope aside, he assured her that they weren’t leaving. Liam just tricked Bill to get rid of him and intended to do what he came there to do.
At the doctor’s office, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) continued to gush with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) over the baby boy they were having.
Sinn pondered what their son would be like – and Steffy assured Finn that he’d want to make his dad proud. Finn felt like he’d indeed be the proudest father around.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) praised Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) for being a great team at work with Hope. Thomas pointed out that Hope might not be around as much now that she was back together with Liam.
He was willing to pick up the slack at work, so Ridge noted that Thomas had come a long way.
Thomas didn’t want Ridge to be surprised by the changes in him. He wanted his father to expect good things of him instead and suggested that Hope saw his potential while acting like it was already true.
Soon after, Finn and Steffy showed up to reveal that they were having a baby boy. Ridge and Thomas joked around with the happy couple as they eagerly anticipated their new arrival.
Back in his office, Bill had his calls held since he was expecting Hope and Liam any moment. Meanwhile, Liam told Hope that the secret was poison – and the antidote was telling the truth.
Baker returned and was taken aback to see that Bill had gone. Liam argued that there are some things that are important to him that don’t make sense to his father.
After Liam confessed to having information on the Vinny Walker case, he added that he knew who ran him down that night. When Baker asked if this was new info, Liam put his head down shamefully and admitted it wasn’t. Baker wondered who was responsible, so Liam said Baker was looking at him.
Liam argued that he was driving to Bill’s house that night when Vinny popped up out of nowhere. Once Liam swore on his life that it wasn’t intentional, he confirmed that he was the one who killed Vinny.
