The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 18, reveals that Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) ditched Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) to console John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) – and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) pushed Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) back to Eric Forrester (John McCook).
At Carter’s loft on Wednesday’s B&B episode, he was stunned as Quinn explained how Eric tore up the divorce papers and wanted her back. Quinn assured Carter she was just as shocked as he was, but Carter wanted to know how she felt about Eric’s push for a reunion.
Quinn wasn’t sure and suggested she should be thrilled. Part of Quinn was relieved since Eric had given her something she searched her whole life for.
“And then there’s you,” Quinn said as she moved closer to Carter and cried. She wondered what they should do, but Carter said only Quinn could make that decision.
Quinn was torn since Eric was a wonderful husband for so much of their marriage, but she shared something so magical and unforgettable with Carter. She wasn’t sure if she could go back to Eric – or if that was even what she wanted.
“Carter, I don’t think I can leave you,” Quinn confessed. She was so confused over her conflicted heart, but Carter thought that Quinn knew what needed to be done deep down.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric made himself a drink and seemed satisfied as he thought back on his decision to tear up the divorce papers. He eventually called Carter about Quinn’s portrait, so Carter lied that he put it in storage.
Eric said that was great and explained that he wasn’t divorcing Quinn after all. He hoped Carter was willing to bring the portrait back to the mansion right away, so Carter assured Eric that he would.
Once Carter hung up, he encouraged Quinn to go be Mrs. Eric Forrester again and thought it was for the best.
Quinn cried harder and didn’t know how she was supposed to say goodbye to Carter. Although Carter felt their connection just as strongly, he felt Quinn’s heart was with Eric and pushed her to take what could be her last chance with him.
Carter said no one would know what happened between them these last few weeks and that he wouldn’t destroy what she would have with Eric.
Although Quinn would cherish what she shared with Carter, she felt like she was leaving part of her behind. After Quinn told Carter she loved him, Carter admitted that he loved her, too.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) liked seeing Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) smile over a gown adjustment and the model’s talk of her marriage to hot Dr. Finnegan.
Steffy was indeed happy, but she wished they didn’t have the dark cloud of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) hanging over their lives. Ridge felt they had to make sure Finn understood what Sheila was capable of.
Steffy trusted Finn and assured Ridge that he wouldn’t have any further interaction with his birth mom.
At the cliff house, Finn hesitated on going to see who was at the door since Paris thought it could be Sheila. However, it was only Zende, who wondered what took so long and grew curious over who they were expecting since they looked so rattled.
Zende got updates on all the birth mom drama and related to Finn as someone who was adopted – though he knew their circumstances were quite different.
As Finn gazed out the window, Paris seemed worried about him. She knew she was supposed to hang out with Zende today, but she thought maybe they should do it another time.
Finn insisted he’d be fine, but Paris didn’t want to leave him alone to deal with all this – and Zende joked that he really just came by to give Paris a kiss anyway.
After Zende left, Finn confessed there was one favor he needed to ask of Paris. He pushed her not to tell Steffy that Sheila reached out to him.
Finn suggested that hopefully Sheila would read between the lines and see that a mere emoji meant that’d be the end of their contact.
Finn didn’t want Steffy to worry about this since nothing would come of it. “OK, I won’t say anything to Steffy. It’ll be our secret,” Paris said.
