The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 26, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) scared Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) with some convict dad talk – and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) wavered over Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray).
At the cabin, Bill insisted that Liam and Hope needed to take the 24 hours he was asking for and think about their future. He advised Hope and Liam to consider their life and figure out what their plans were
If Liam still wanted to confess at the end of those 24 hours, Bill promised he wouldn’t stand in his way.
Until then, Bill insisted Liam and Hope shouldn’t say a word. He didn’t think Liam fully grasped what he’d be giving up by turning himself in.
Bill argued Liam wouldn’t understand until he was stripped of his designer clothes, facing a full body search and being led to his cell where the bars slammed closed.
Bill insisted the life Liam wanted was with Hope, Beth and Kelly. He wondered if Liam really wanted his daughters to grow up visiting their convict father in prison.
Bill reiterated that Vinny was a piece of garbage who wasn’t worth feeling guilty over, but Liam insisted that Vinny didn’t deserve to die. Bill didn’t think Liam deserved to go to prison either.
Liam ultimately decided they could give Bill the 24 hours he asked for. “By tomorrow, we’ll know if we’re going to the police or if we’re keeping this secret forever,” Liam said on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
After Bill left, Hope couldn’t help but wonder if Bill was right and that going to the cops would be a mistake. Hope acknowledged that Bill had a point. She hated the idea of Liam missing out on his kids’ childhoods.
Liam didn’t want to be a stranger to his own children, but he reminded Hope that Vinny was dead because of him.
Since he was responsible, Liam argued that he had to come forward. “Don’t I?” Liam asked as he wrestled with guilt and confusion. Hope said they needed to figure that out since whatever they decide will affect the rest of their lives.
Hope arranged for the kids to stay with loved ones so that they could devote their full attention to making this massive decision.
Liam felt like if he wound up in front of a judge after keeping this a secret, they wouldn’t go easy on him. The law is the law. Hope insisted that if Bill had just called the police, they wouldn’t even be having this conversation right now. She felt Bill’s bad decisions could cost them their family.
“IF we tell…IF…IF I go to the police and confess,” Liam said. On the other hand, Liam wasn’t sure he could just live with the guilt. He worried that maybe he shouldn’t have told Hope, but she was glad for his honesty.
Liam never wanted to keep anything from Hope ever again, but dead Vinny was always there in the back of his mind.
Hope insisted they said they were going to take their time to focus on their love and their family. “Let’s take tonight and celebrate us,” Hope said as she moved in close to Liam on the floor.
“I want to hold you and never let you go ever again.” Hope hugged Liam tightly as they both cried.
At Forrester Creations, Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) went on and on about how grateful she was to Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). Zoe thanked Quinn for using every trick up her sleeve, but Quinn promised there were no tricks.
However, Zoe felt like Carter needed an extra nudge and wasn’t sure anyone but Quinn could’ve accomplished their reunion.
Quinn felt Zoe was giving her way too much credit and insisted she got lucky. She was just happy that Carter was back in Zoe’s arms where he belonged.
Moments later, Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) appeared and quickly offered to leave since she felt she was interrupting. Zoe pushed Shauna to stay since there was a lot she needed to say.
Quinn and Carter remained in the office as Zoe wondered how Shauna wound up sleeping with Carter. Shauna suggested it was just one of those things that happened – and Carter didn’t think Zoe really wanted to know deep down.
Zoe still felt like she needed the details and wondered if Shauna would truly be able to let Carter go so quickly.
Shauna promised she wasn’t a threat and wouldn’t be making any moves on Carter, but Zoe had her doubts.
Zoe questioned if Shauna could really switch off any lingering feelings like that, but Quinn defended Shauna and argued that Zoe was the one Carter wanted. “Right,” Carter said nervously to back Quinn up.
Carter felt like they could have marriage, children and the life they wanted. They just had to move beyond the past and focus on their future. Zoe didn’t buy the idea that it was just a fling for Shauna and thought giving up Carter was harder than she was letting on.
“But now Carter and I are together again, which means that you or any other woman will never have their hands on him again,” Zoe warned.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) was concerned about how Bill bolted out of there with no explanation. He felt that whatever was going on between Liam and Bill had to be something terrible.
Bill came blowing in eventually and angrily ordered Wyatt out along with Flo.
Wyatt refused to leave until he got some answers since he was worried about both Bill and Liam. Bill calmed down and insisted Liam would be fine as long as he didn’t screw it up.
