The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) may blame Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) when Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) most likely flees with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor. Will this panicked mom get the wrong idea?
On the September 6 episode, Mariah will express concern about Stitch still being out there somewhere. She’ll fear for her own safety as well as the safety of the baby.
However, Abby will assure Mariah that she’ll be protected along with Dominic at the Chancellor mansion. There’ll be extra security to ensure it, but Mariah will still have a pit in her stomach later.
Abby will also make a promise to Dominic as she holds him. She’ll insist she won’t let anyone take Dominic from her ever again, which seems like a soapy way of saying he’ll get kidnapped once more!
When someone says everything will be fine on a daytime drama, the opposite is almost always true.
Sean Carrigan’s stint is officially over, so it doesn’t seem likely he’ll make any more popups related to this story – at least not anytime soon.
Since Y&R’s offering hints about a snatching that’s not tied to Stitch, Mariah makes sense as the culprit.
Of course, that thought may not even cross Abby’s mind initially. Since suspicions are still swirling around Stitch, Abby may assume he’s come back and blame herself for another kidnapping crisis.
Abby will likely fear Mariah was right to worry about getting scooped up again along with Dominic.
We may see the whole gang come together again thinking this is a repeat scenario, when in reality it could be a brand-new mystery to solve.
Mariah feels deeply bonded to this baby, so she’s probably going to snap at some point and just bolt with him.
Mariah may do the unthinkable and leave Abby none the wiser at first due to the Stitch misdirection.
Naturally, Stitch might get caught off screen – or Mariah could use a credit card somewhere to indicate this is a different situation entirely.
It might slowly dawn on Abby, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuo) that Mariah has left voluntarily this time – and she’s taken Dominic along for the ride!
