The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) could land in bed with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Will Abby and Devon’s strong baby bond lead to them cheating on Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan)?
For starters, we should acknowledge that both Abby and Devon have had storylines where they cheated in the past, so it’s not farfetched to think it could happen again. That’s especially true considering the way Y&R’s played their relationship in recent months.
Devon has become the one person Abby can truly be honest with. Abby doesn’t feel like she can really let her guard down and show her genuine emotions with anyone else.
Of course, Abby will have to lean on Devon once again when Chance remains unreachable.
That’ll serve as yet another strategy to pull Devon and Abby closer. Devon has already been growing upset with Chance for bailing on Abby after promising to start a family with her.
Now that the baby has arrived, it’s only going to add to Devon’s outrage and make him more determined to step up in Chance’s absence.
There’s also the matter of Devon’s tie to this baby as his flesh and blood. Devon is the biological father and feels connected to this little one just like Abby does.
That means Abby and Devon will understand each other in a whole new way, which could bring them even closer.
It feels like the show’s creating the perfect cheating storm and could set the stage for some major betrayals.
Chance borderline deserves it for taking off on this mission without even giving Abby a heads-up or asking what she thought! The fact that Chance has stayed away so long is another strike against him.
However, Amanda certainly doesn’t deserve Devon going behind her back and sleeping with Abby.
Unfortunately, that could easily happen based on the story that’s playing out and how drawn Devon is to Abby along with her child.
