The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashland Plans to Fake Death – Needs Nate’s Help to Disappear?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) could plan to fake his death and may need Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) help to disappear. Y&R fans know Ashland has been receiving some ominous texts connected to someone from his past. This person has insisted that Ashland is a hard man to track down and warned that Ashland will regret ignoring him.

Ashland’s story in the September 14 episode is that he left home at 16 to escape an abusive father and the horrors of a bad childhood.

Of course, Ashland became a successful, wealthy and powerful man in the years that followed. He has absolutely no reason to fear his dad now – if the old man’s even still alive!

These texts clearly have Ashland rattled and worried about what’s coming next, so there’s someone else from his history who he indeed fears.

This could be tied to the looming arrival of an attorney named Jessie Gaines (Jamison Jones), who’ll have info that relates to Ashland’s past.

The show’s setting up more buried secrets – and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be determined to expose them. That brings us to an interesting point Billy made regarding Nate.

Billy just isn’t buying this instant friendship since Ashland is the kind of guy who goes for transactional relationships.

The only reason Ashland’s trying to get so chummy with Nate – even to the extreme of asking him to be his best man – is because he feels the doc can benefit him somehow.

Billy feels like Nate is being targeted, so we have to consider why that might be the case.

Could it be because Ashland has done his research and knows Nate helped Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) fake his death at one point?

Ashland’s illness has never seemed real, so he has the perfect setup here. Perhaps Ashland will uncover some dirt he can use to force Nate into helping him fake his death and vanish.

Ashland may need to run from his past once again – and what better way to do that than pretending to die?

It makes sense that Ashland might use his bogus terminal illness and Nate’s experience in faked deaths to his advantage.

This could be the nuclear option for Ashland in case things go south. Ashland might fear prison or a genuine death if he doesn’t pull off a fake one!

Naturally, Ashland’s potential plan might not work out as well as he hopes, so we’ll see how it all plays out.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in Ashland’s storyline, so stay tuned.
