The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the depths of Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) mind games and cruelty could shift Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) perspective. Ashland is already proving to be quite conniving – and things are only going to get worse from here.
No one can blame Ashland for being angry over the affair, but he’s seeking revenge years later after everyone’s moved on. Kyle isn’t the New York party boy he once was and is no longer interested in Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), but Ashland wants Kyle to pay for the mistakes of the past.
It wouldn’t be so bad if Ashland’s vengeance were limited to Kyle alone, but the “Locke-ness Monster” will go after Summer Newman (Hunter King), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Jabot as well.
Ashland won’t stop until Kyle’s completely decimated and everything he holds dear has been ruined.
We’re dealing with a bitter man who’s no doubt going to teach Harrison Locke to behave this way if he continues to raise him. Harrison may grow up to be just like his fake father if Kyle doesn’t intervene.
Is that really the life Kyle wants for his son? Does Kyle want the man Harrison adores and admires to be a vengeful villain who destroys everything in his path?
Kyle’s setting Harrison up to repeat the cycle if he doesn’t intervene. Ashland seems to truly love Harrison – and so far, Kyle’s been content to leave things alone. He doesn’t want to disrupt Harrison’s life and yank the kid away from the only dad he’s ever known.
However, Kyle might change his tune once he sees Ashland’s true colors and knows how far he can sink. Kyle might worry about what’ll happen if Harrison tries to go against Ashland once he’s older. It’s safe to say that wouldn’t go well for Harrison at all.
If Harrison does what he’s told and is groomed to be the next ruthless “Locke-ness Monster,” that’s equally troubling. The Young and the Restless fans know Kyle may have his flaws, but he has a good heart – just like his own father, Jack.
In the end, Kyle might decide Ashland’s behavior is unacceptable and not the kind of thing he wants taught to his child.
In other words, Ashland’s revenge could prompt Kyle to fight back and seek custody of his son. It might be the only way to ensure Harrison is raised in a healthy home with a dad who isn’t vindictive and out of control.
