The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) fake terminal illness may be exposed. Has Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) been duped by a twisted revenge plot that’ll soon come to light?
Let’s look at what we know so far. For starters, there’s no firm proof that Ashland has small-cell lung carcinoma. It’s not like we saw Ashland at the doctor’s office getting his diagnosis, so Y&R is forcing us to take the word of a master manipulator.
In fact, there’s been a huge emphasis on Ashland’s mind games and just how far he’ll go to get what he wants. Ashland might’ve viewed Victoria as someone he could easily deceive with his terminal illness lie.
Ashland’s been quick to shut down any treatment options that could prolong his life – perhaps because there’s no need for them.
Maybe Ashland only wanted Victoria to think this whole merger was her idea. In reality, Ashland may be plotting some sort of takeover or at least a situation where Newman Enterprises will end up at a disadvantage in the end.
It always seemed weird that Ashland was so willing to let Victor off the hook for the heart attack mess. Victor refused to get Ashland medical attention until he signed the Cyaxares contract, so that seems like something Ashland should’ve been vengeful about.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be some sort of shocking Ashland exposure on July 6.
How exactly will Ashland be exposed? The news about Ashland having six months to live has already broken through a gossip site as of the June 29 Y&R episode.
That secret is out, so there’s nothing left to expose if the story’s confirmed. The truth is just the truth.
If the story’s disproven, however, that’s quite the shocking exposure! Ashland might admit his deception and leave Victoria feeling like a fool for believing him.
This entire time Victoria has felt sorry for Ashland while simultaneously trying to gain the upper hand in business. Victoria thought she was running the show, but maybe Ashland’s been manipulating her every step of the way.
That’d be risky considering the custody drama that’s going on over Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but Ashland may not be worried if he has dirt that could sink Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) – which has been implied.
Ashland clearly has a secret if he’s going to be exposed in some way, so will his phony illness be the revelation that comes out?
