The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could find himself in need of a job change. Now that Billy’s been cleared of any wrongdoing and Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) is facing attempted murder charges, things can go back to normal.
Billy’s already been cooking up some new story angles and seems ready for it to be business as usual at Chancellor Communications.
However, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will grow increasingly uncomfortable when it comes to mixing business with pleasure. Now that Lily and Billy are falling harder for each other, The Young and the Restless spoilers say it’s going to shift Lily’s perspective.
Lily will begin to wonder if they can really remain business partners under the circumstances. It could affect their personal relationship if they start disagreeing on too many work-related things. Not to mention Lily’s extremely professional and doesn’t like the idea of projecting an image that suggests otherwise.
What happens if Lily presents her concerns to Billy? Since Billy feels like this romance is different and something he wants to hold onto, he may prove it to Lily. Perhaps Billy will be willing to walk away from Chancellor Communications and let Lily run it alone.
If so, Billy’s going to need another challenge to tackle – and that could put him back where he started at Jabot. After all, there are a limited number of places for Billy to work in Genoa City.
Billy tried the whole consulting thing and was bored by it. Newman Enterprises doesn’t seem like a great option considering how much Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) hates Billy, so that leaves his family company.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would be happy to have Billy back in some prominent role, but it may not be prominent enough for Billy’s taste! Billy may have his eye on the co-CEO spot – at least until he can convince Jack to step aside and let him run Jabot alone.
First thing’s first though, so Billy has to get Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) out of the way.
This lines up with Y&R spoilers about Billy swooping in and derailing Kyle’s intentions. The rivalry between Billy and Kyle will rev up again after Billy steals Kyle’s plan.
That’ll lead to a daring follow-up move by Billy. It could be a case where Billy exposes Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) plot against Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Kyle’s attempt to help Summer.
If Kyle takes his support of Summer too far and does something that could hurt Sally, Jack isn’t going to be pleased. It could put Kyle in the prime position to get fired and replaced by Billy! A co-CEO shakeup could be looming, so we’ll offer updates as more Y&R news comes in.
