The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may ban Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) from Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Chelsea could end up warning Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as her fall return storyline gets underway, so let’s talk about how things might play out.
For starters, Y&R spoilers state that Chelsea is indeed coming back this autumn with an exciting story. The overall idea is that Chelsea has seemingly found stability and made improvements to her life, but will they stick once she’s back in Genoa City?
Chelsea has distanced herself from Adam by helping Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) in Minnesota, but the situation will be different once she’s back in GC obsessing over her former flame.
We’ve already seen flashes of Chelsea’s dangerous, possessive side creeping in over video chats.
Chelsea got a bad feeling about Sally, who came on a little too strong in their first video call meeting. Her instincts were telling her Sally couldn’t be trusted.
Chelsea was appreciative when she found out how Sally helped Connor, but Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) made it clear Sally wasn’t exactly the mothering type.
Sally won’t give up on a future with Adam – and that future will obviously have to include Connor. Once Chelsea is fully convinced that Sally is trouble, she may insist it’s game over.
Chelsea may feel like Sally’s trying to replace her as a mother figure in Connor’s life. Chelsea will also view Sally as a roadblock to the “Chadam” reunion she still wants deep down.
Sally seems poised to be a huge factor in Chelsea’s comeback, especially if Chelsea winds up working with Sally and Chloe like the latter keeps pushing for.
There was talk about a potential Newman fashion line, so Chloe may use that to lure Chelsea back to Genoa City eventually.
However, the main reason for Chelsea’s return may be staking her claim with Adam and keeping Sally out of her family’s orbit.
Chelsea may forbid Sally from seeing Connor if Sally knows what’s good for her! Chelsea may also warn Adam that she doesn’t want Sally anywhere near their child.
Sally and Connor’s bond is no doubt going to become a bigger issue as Chelsea comes back into the picture, so that’s a risky situation to keep an eye on.
