The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the walls will soon close in on Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Though Chelsea will try to play it cool, it’ll become apparent that her plan to frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is falling apart!
During the week of April 12-15, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will deliver an urgent warning to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Sharon will be in a tight spot since she’s secretly been in touch with Adam and has been asked to set a trap for Chelsea.
Time will tell how much Sharon actually reveals about Adam, but it sounds like she’ll at least warn Rey about Chelsea faking her recovery. Sharon will want to open Rey’s mind to the possibility that Chelsea framed Adam for attempted murder.
Of course, Rey is particularly close to this case since he’s not only the lead detective but the victim. That’ll put Rey in a unique situation as he pays Chelsea a visit to put her through an intense interrogation.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will endure a grilling session, but there’s probably no way she’ll admit to setting Adam up. However, Chelsea may have no choice but to come clean about her recovery not being as stalled as she let on.
Since it looks Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also know the truth by then, Chelsea may not be able to keep the charade going with Rey. She might have to shift her strategy a bit in hopes of keeping herself out of prison.
Chelsea might even admit to sending the texts from Adam’s tablet – just to throw Rey a bone.
Perhaps Chelsea could argue that she only wanted to destroy Sharon and Adam’s bond. Chelsea might argue that the poison had to be Adam’s doing and beg Rey to believe her.
Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will keep trying to play the victim and convince Rey that Adam’s the truly guilty one.
Will Rey’s detective instincts finally kick in and tell him the evidence no longer points to Adam? Will Rey realize this is a setup and resolve to find proof against Chelsea next?
