The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may have a new plan to seduce Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and steal Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) husband. It looks like Chelsea wants to rob her rival of her married future, so let’s talk about the warning signs and how Chelsea might pull this off.
For starters, Chelsea clearly blames Sharon since she said so herself while stuck at the psychiatric hospital. Although Chelsea is angry with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as well, she has a special spot in her bitter heart that’s reserved for Sharon loathing.
There’s no way Chelsea’s going to sit back and let Sharon get away with her role in blowing up Chelsea’s life.
In the Tuesday, May 25 episode of Y&R, Chelsea pretends to accept that there was no affair between Sharon and Adam. She finally acts like she believes Rey and pushes him to come visit her from time to time if he’s willing.
Chelsea even plays up Rey’s comforting presence, but the look on her face after Rey’s gone tells us she’s scheming.
Rey doesn’t know for sure if Chelsea’s faking all this or not, but he can’t turn his back on a woman who may be struggling after a mental breakdown.
That’s just not the kind of man Rey was raised to be or who he is at the core. As a result, Rey will no doubt honor Chelsea’s request and visit her occasionally.
Chelsea can use these visits to continue her deception and show Rey phony progress in her recovery. She can also turn on the charm and flirt with Rey to pull him closer.
Rey may hope she can create some temptation so that Rey’s ready to cheat by the time she’s released.
Of course, there’s no guarantee Rey will take the bait, but Chelsea could at least try this strategy. She might resort to more manipulation down the road and try to convince Rey that Sharon’s cheating with Adam after all.
If Chelsea can create a good reason for Rey to betray Sharon, he just might do it.
Regardless, Chelsea’s goal may be to lure Rey to her bed once she’s recovered and back home. She may form a bond with Rey over time and turn her poison victim into a pawn in her revenge game once again.
It’d be the ultimate vengeance if Chelsea was able to get Rey to cheat on Sharon with the woman who could’ve killed him!
