The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Does Ashland Deserve Death, Prison or Redemption – Victoria’s Fiancé Fate

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that after all Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) lies and manipulation, we have to ask: Does Ashland deserve death, prison or redemption? Which fate is best for Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) lying fiancé? Let’s consider each option as we wait to find out what Y&R writers have in store.

Plenty of viewers are pretty much over the character of Ashland at this point. In some ways, it’s hard to care about offscreen secrets and stories that happened 40 years ago.

It’s also tough to sell Ashland and Victoria as a viable love story at this point, so killing Ashland off for drama’s sake might be the way to go.

That’s especially true if the show offers a situation where Victoria gets the last laugh – like if she stands over Ashland and watches him die of a heart attack.

It could happen when you consider Ashland’s medical history and the ruthless way Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) refused to call 911 until Ashland signed over Cyaxares.

It’d be a great “like father, like daughter” moment if Victoria wound up in a similar situation and just let Ashland die.

Of course, Ashland might die of his terminal illness if that part of his story’s true, but we have serious doubts that it is.

That lie might be the last straw that drives Victoria to do something equally cruel as payback.

However, other fans might want to see Ashland pay while leaving the door open for his return. Prison would be a great option in that case.

Ashland could go down for some of the crimes he’s committed – and we’re betting there are more than he’s letting on!

Even if Ashland doesn’t go down for stealing Camilla Rhodes’ fortune, there could surely be some other ways to nail him.

It might be satisfying to watch Ashland hauled off in handcuffs like Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) was when she exited the CBS soap.

Naturally, there are some viewers who like Ashland and hate that the show’s destroying his relationship with Victoria like this.

Other than all the lies Ashland has told, he’s indeed a good match for Victoria.

Some might consider it a waste to toss out their intriguing chemistry and powercouple potential, especially since Victoria will be back at square one in terms of needing a love interest.

The show might be gearing up for another Victoria and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) reunion, but that just means doing the same old, same old.

Should Y&R let Ashland stick around and try to redeem him? It’s certainly possible since Ashland hasn’t done anything worse than Victor, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and many other characters on canvas.

Even Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) essentially stole JT Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) identity when he walked around in that mask of him, so who is he to judge?

Ashland isn’t all that bad and could become a good guy who’s truly changed by the power of Victoria’s love.

An escape might be another option for Ashland, but death, prison or redemption are the three possibilities that would offer the most closure.

Which outcome are you rooting for?

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland’s storyline is winding down, so stay tuned to see how it all plays out.
