The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 15, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will wish Summer Newman (Hunter King) luck on her latest endeavor.
Y&R fans know Summer has a couple of goals in mind for this Los Angeles trip. For starters, Summer’s hoping to score a new deal and get JCV promoted by Spencer Publications.
This could be a game-changer for the JCV brand and really boost their business. Summer needs to meet with the top dog at Spencer Publications for this deal to happen – and that’s the powerful “Dollar Bill” Spencer (Don Diamont) from The Bold and the Beautiful.
However, Summer has to start a bit smaller on Friday, which is why she’ll meet with Bill’s son, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks). The Young and the Restless spoilers say Wyatt will be excited to hear Summer’s pitch, which will be an excellent one.
Summer really knows her stuff when it comes to JCV and what they do best, so she’ll hit all the right notes for Wyatt.
Of course, Summer will have ulterior motives since Wyatt also happens to be Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) ex-boyfriend. Since Summer has done some digging on social media, she’ll know Wyatt and Spectra used to be a couple.
Summer will certainly wonder what broke them up and if she might be able to use the scoop to take down Sally.
As a result, Summer will find a way to work Sally’s name into the conversation. After Wyatt agrees to set up a meeting between Summer and Bill, Summer will “casually” mention Sally and catch Wyatt off guard.
Wyatt didn’t know exactly where Sally landed after she left LA in shame, so he’ll be surprised that she wound up in Genoa City. After all, GC isn’t exactly the fashion capital of the world! Summer may admit the move surprised her as well.
She might ask if Wyatt knows why Sally would leave the bustling fashion scene in Los Angeles.
Summer will offer high praise for Sally as part of her trap. She’ll suspect she’s on the right track when Wyatt has a sarcastic response to Sally’s good nature. Wyatt will laugh it off like this gal’s got issues, but he’ll genuinely hope Sally has found the fresh start she needed.
Summer will keep trying to make Wyatt take the bait in Friday’s episode. She’ll fish for details on Sally’s past, but Wyatt is a decent guy who won’t want to cause trouble. Wyatt will simply make it clear that he wishes Sally the best and is glad she got a second chance.
Naturally, Summer will wonder why Sally needed a second chance at all. This conversation will only serve to make Summer more curious – and more determined to score the dirt she needs! The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will keep up her efforts next week, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get about as close to the dark side as he’s going to get. Nick doesn’t usually support revenge plots, but he’ll make an exception on Friday. Since Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) won’t leave Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) alone, Nick will push Phyllis to retaliate.
It sounds like Nick will basically give Phyllis his blessing to play dirty, but will he have all the facts? Phyllis may or may not share the details of the Newman embezzlement cover-up she wants to exploit. Regardless, Phyllis will be eager to make Victoria’s takedown happen – and retribution is indeed coming for her rival!
