The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 25, reveals that Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Story) GCPD murder confession will bring conflict while Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) struggles with memories of Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will also comfort Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so let’s talk about what’s ahead in Friday’s Y&R episode.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) place, he’ll hear about everything Naya admitted to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Amanda will fume over Naya’s crocodile tears and rant about how her mother made her think her father didn’t want her.
Amanda will also be livid over Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) manipulating her to keep the truth from coming out.
Devon will wonder if Amanda really believes her grandfather is guilty, so Amanda will confirm she does. She’ll feel confident that Sutton was behind the crash that killed Richard Nealon and will refuse to stop until justice is served.
Amanda will want some slam-dunk evidence and will have a plan to hit Sutton where it hurts most.
Soon after, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will show up to unleash her wrath. “What the hell have you done?!” Imani will snap as she storms in.
Amanda will angrily fill Imani in on Naya’s confession about speaking to Richard, who knew she abandoned their twins. She’ll add that Naya told Sutton everything.
When Imani asks if that’s all Naya confessed, Amanda will suggest that’s more than enough. Imani will inform Amanda that Naya’s confession didn’t end there.
Imani will shock Amanda by revealing that Naya just turned herself to the Genoa City Police Department for murder.
Amanda will get visibly flustered as she insists this is the last thing she wanted. She won’t seem to buy Naya’s claims and will be determined to fix this.
Imani will argue that Amanda’s done enough and will add that she may have just lost her mother to prison. “And that is all on you!” Imani will shout.
At Crimson Lights, Abby will wrap up a chat with Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and prepare to leave the patio. Suddenly, a familiar voice will call out and greet Abby by name. “Ben?!” Abby will exclaim cheerfully.
Stitch will admit it’s been years and will mention being back in town for his old boss’ retirement party.
After Stitch congratulates Abby on her wedding to Chance Chancellor (last played Donny Boaz), Abby will ask about Stitch’s son, Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze). Stitch will admit that Max’s recovery hasn’t progressed well, but he’ll refuse to give up hope.
When Stitch spots a “baby on board” selfie from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) on Abby’s phone, he’ll seem surprised over Mariah having a baby. Abby will explain the surrogacy situation, so Stitch will realize Abby can’t carry a baby to term because of her previous miscarriage.
Abby won’t want to relive painful memories and will assure Stitch she isn’t holding any grudges. She’ll suggest that everyone has a journey, so this one is hers. Stitch will wish Abby and Chance all the best before Abby heads home.
Once alone, Stitch will have flashbacks of significant memories in his relationship with Abby. He’ll remember confirming Abby’s pregnancy, comforting her over the miscarriage and dealing with the heartache of their split.
As for Abby, she’ll return to the Chancellor mansion with some updates. Nina and Mariah will find out about Stitch’s visit and how Max still hasn’t fully recovered.
Abby will talk about Max’s brain tumor and the horrible effects it had on him. She’ll feel terrible for Ben, especially since her own life is full of so much joy now.
At the coffeehouse, Tara will approach Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Sally will mention Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) upcoming meeting with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman). She’ll assume it involves saying “arrivederci to JCV” and will obviously be quite pleased about that.
When Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) runs into Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at Society, they’ll discuss the complicated situation between Summer and Kyle.
Nick will acknowledge that this isn’t their first broken engagement and failed fast-tracked wedding. Jack will shrug that maybe it’s just not in the cards for Kyle and Summer.
In Summer’s suite, Kyle will complain that it’s crazy to move to Italy overnight. He’ll refuse to let this happen when they still love each other so much. “You have to accept this because I don’t love you like you love me. I never will,” Summer will insist.
An outraged Kyle won’t buy it, but Summer will push Kyle to look in her eyes and see the resentment that’s there now.
Summer will rant about Kyle having another woman’s child and will point out that woman is still in the picture. Kyle will protest that nothing is going on with Tara, but Summer will insist Kyle should go be with Tara and his son.
When Kyle tries to beg again, Summer will yell for him to get out. She’ll end up sobbing once Kyle finally goes.
Down in the lobby, Kyle will push Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to help him fix this. He’ll be frustrated when Phyllis suggests Kyle will just have to respect Summer’s decision.
Lauren will arrive for her meeting with Summer, so Phyllis will ask her to please talk some sense into her daughter.
Upstairs, Summer will be packing when Lauren stops by as requested. Lauren will be taken aback when Summer apologizes for the late notice and announces that she’s leaving JCV. That’ll lead Lauren to insist she won’t accept this resignation so easily.
Nevertheless, Summer will explain the Marchetti offer and how it was just too good to pass up. Lauren will wonder about Kyle, so Summer will note that it just didn’t work out.
When Lauren asks if Summer is running away from her problems, Summer won’t deny it. She’ll just choose to own this decision and appreciate that she gets to run somewhere really great.
Back with Nick, he’ll tell Phyllis that he plans to escort Summer to Italy and help her get settled.
Phyllis will worry that their own example served as a cautionary tale for Summer. Nick went back and forth between Phyllis and Sharon a lot over the years.
Phyllis and Nick will get how Summer might’ve been worried coparenting would lead Kyle back to Tara. Now that Summer’s made her choice, Nick will suggest they’ll have to hope she finds love and happiness someday – just like they’ve found.
In Summer’s suite again, she’ll cry as she tries to stay upbeat on the phone with Angelina Marchetti. Summer will also take off her engagement ring and look devastated as she looks at it between her fingers.
Nick will come up soon after and reveal that he’s going to be Summer’s personal escort. He’ll ask one last time if this is what Summer wants, so she’ll insist it is. Nick will guess all that’s left to do is learn how to say “Supergirl” in Italian.
As for Sally, she’ll leave Jack curious over her unshakeable good mood when they cross paths again. Kyle will also make his way back to the Abbott mansion and look miserable as he pours himself a drink.
Once Tara walks in, she’ll ask if everything’s all right. Tara will think Kyle looks like his whole world just fell apart, so he’ll admit it kind of has. “I’m here. I can help,” Tara will promise as she looks at Kyle lovingly.
We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news becomes available. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tara will continue to make bold moves and hope she can reel Kyle in. CDL’s where you want to be for terrific Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates, so make us your favorite hotspot.
