The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, May 14 Recap – Lola Leaves for Florida – Adam Vows to Crush Billy – Kyle Sees Harrison

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, May 14, reveals that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will leave for a Florida job while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) vows to crush Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also see Harrison Locke when Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) shows up out of the blue at his engagement party, so let’s get to all the details!

At the penthouse, Adam will come home to see Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) empty wheelchair. He’ll seem affected by that before Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) enters and insists he can have it removed.

Adam will assure Victor that he can take care of it before talk turns to their business venture and a promise Victor needs his son to make about the two women in his life.

Victor will point out that Chelsea’s jealousy caused this mess. He’ll think Adam has to turn the corner with both Chelsea and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

Adam will insist that although he feels responsible for Chelsea’s breakdown and wants her to recover, it’s best if they go their separate ways. As for Sharon, Adam will hope she can work things out with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

Adam will intend to prioritize the company and repairing his relationship with the family, so he’ll admit there’s no room for any other involvement in his life right now – that especially goes for Sharon.

When it comes to Cyaxares, Adam will want to make it a huge success. He’ll intend to make it an even bigger powerhouse so he can crush Billy along with ChancComm, so that’ll be music to Victor’s ears.

At Sharon’s place, she’ll do her best to shut down Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) concerns about Adam using this kidney situation to his advantage. Sharon will argue that she made peace with Adam and just has to convince Rey of that.

Over with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at Crimson Lights, he’ll urge Rey to let go of some of his anger toward Adam and work things out with Sharon. Nick truly won’t think an affair was going on.

Nick will feel like Chelsea convinced herself that cheating was going down between Sharon and Adam instead.

Nick will also feel like Sharon has taken blow after blow lately. He’ll worry that losing Rey could be the last one to knock Sharon down and put her in a vulnerable place. Nick will advise Rey to do something before it’s too late.

Afterward, Lola will show up to share some good news with her brother. Rey will dodge the topic of Sharon and push Lola to reveal her updates. Lola will admit she’s been asked to be the guest chef at the biggest restaurant conglomerate in Florida.

They want Lola to create menus for their five-star restaurants all over the state.

Rey will point out that Florida is awfully far away, but Lola will note that she’d be close to their mom and it’d just be for a little while. She’ll add that she’d be bringing back the celeb chef status, so Rey will sense that Lola really wants this.

Lola will confess that she does, but she won’t want to go anywhere unless she knows Rey will be OK.

Rey will assure Lola that he wouldn’t stand in her way and will insist he’s going to be fine. Lola will note that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) already approved and just wants her to go be a rock star.

Lola will point out that her customers won’t even know she’s gone since she’s leaving recipes behind to be replicated.

Rey will let Lola know he’s going to miss her before she asks him for a promise. Where Sharon is concerned, Lola will want Sharon to trust, love and believe what his heart is saying.

Rey won’t make any promises when it comes to Sharon, but he’ll acknowledge that he hears what she’s saying. He’ll just want Lola to focus on following her own heart now.

Lola will suggest that no matter where this leads, she’ll always come back. Rey will crack a joke about coming after Lola if she doesn’t, so these will serve as some sweet farewell scenes for the Rosales siblings.

At the hospital, Sharon and Rey will get ready to take Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) home. In the waiting area, Nick will be in protective dad mode as he gives Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) a “we’ll see” on spending time with Faith in a few days.

Once Faith settles in on the sofa at the cottage, Sharon will get a call from Rey to meet up at the coffeehouse. Faith will excitedly encourage Sharon to go since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be around to watch over her.

Sharon will head to Crimson Lights soon after and admit she can’t bear for Rey to drag this out. She’ll wonder why Rey wanted to see her, so he’ll note that he has something important to tell her.

At Jabot, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will discuss the engagement party that’s happening for Kyle and Summer Newman (Hunter King) later. As they’re leaving, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will appear and look annoyed.

Once Sally is alone, she’ll get on a video chat with “Grams” aka Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo). Sally will complain about Phyllis butting in other people’s business and coming out of nowhere.

“Grams” will think maybe Sally should forget about Jack and move on, but Sally will want to know what Jack and Phyllis are up to – just in case.

At Society, Abby will gush about the wedding and hope Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is back in time. Phyllis will point out that Abby and Chance should be expecting a baby by around then, too.

Phyllis will suggest she hopes Chance comes back sooner rather than later, so Abby will look a bit upset and excuse herself.

Next, Phyllis will tell Jack she’s sorry about him having to fly solo for the engagement bash. Jack won’t think that’s true since Phyllis is happy he parted ways with Sally.

Jack will note that Sally’s pulling out all the stops to win him back, but he’ll feel like too much has happened. Jack won’t like the mean-spirited side of Sally that he’s seen.

Phyllis will hear about Sally defending Jack to Tara, so she’ll think it was convenient that Jack was there to overhear. Jack will wonder if Phyllis thinks Sally set it up, so she’ll admit it sounds like something Sally would do.

Phyllis will add that she feels the need to protect Jack since he did the same for her over the years.

In their suite, Kyle and Summer will marvel over the speedy progress on their future home. After looking at some pics, Summer will fret over what else might get in the way for them.

Kyle won’t think there’s anything left and will kiss Summer as a way to pass the time until their wedding.

Later, Phyllis will spot Kyle and Summer making out by the elevator. Once Kyle leaves, Phyllis will admit she got a nervous feeling in her stomach seeing them like that. She’ll want Summer to tell her honestly if this is what she wants.

Summer won’t get where this is coming from, but Phyllis will point out that a very large shadow has been cast over this engagement.

After Phyllis brings up Summer’s last wedding and all the Lola drama, Summer will think this is different. Even so, Phyllis will note that Tara is now another ex that’s casting a shadow.

Phyllis will suggest that Tara doesn’t have to be an issue of Summer doesn’t make her one, but Summer will promise there’s no jealousy going on.

Summer will feel like she’s destined to be with Kyle and will predict a long, happy life full of love. Once Phyllis is satisfied, she’ll hand over an engagement gift. Sally will appear near the door and watch as Summer opens a necklace that Jack gave Phyllis in 2015.

Phyllis will wonder if it bothers Summer that she didn’t offer something from her dad instead, but Summer will insist that Jack’s family. As Summer says this gift means the world to her, Sally will stand there shaking her head in disgust.

Back at Jabot on Friday’s Y&R episode, Kyle will fill Jack in on Mariah being his best person and will hope Jack’s willing to get ordained. Jack will insist he’d be honored, so it’ll be decided that he’s going to perform the ceremony.

Once Mariah leaves, Jack will give Kyle his grandpa’s pocket watch. There’s a story behind this family heirloom that was passed down from John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), so Jack will vow to tell that story at the engagement party later.

Sally will appear just before Jack takes off, so Kyle will admit they were indeed talking about his engagement party tonight. Kyle will think if Sally meant it about keeping the peace, then she’ll stay far away.

As for Phyllis, she’ll grumble when Jack gives her a heads-up about Sally knowing about the shindig.

After everyone gathers at Society for the engagement bash, Jack will give the first toast to the couple. Suddenly, Tara will walk in and stand there holding Harrison’s hand. There’ll be plenty of shocked expressions, but Kyle and Summer will look particularly unsettled!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s much more Harrison drama to come, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL will have other scorching Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by frequently.
