The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get a big surprise at her hotel suite. A special visitor will arrive with family ties, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Jack Landron has been cast in the role of Sutton Ames, Amanda’s grandfather. Y&R fans can expect Landron to make his debut as Sutton on April 5, so this will kick off even more drama for Amanda.
Amanda’s been wrestling with a huge decision since Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) has turned to her for help. This could be Amanda’s only shot at truly becoming part of the family, so she’s definitely tempted to pitch in. Amanda’s also eager to find out the truth since she’s so close to the situation.
At the same time, this case brings a major conflict of interest – and there’s a chance Sutton is indeed guilty of ordering the crash that killed Amanda’s father, Richard Nealon. Of course, that’ll no doubt be part of why Sutton shows up.
Sutton will want to defend his innocence and convince Amanda that taking his case is the right call.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will invite Sutton in and most likely put him on full blast. Sutton wanted Naya to give up her twins, so Amanda will face tension with her grandfather right off the bat.
Nevertheless, Sutton could really use Amanda’s support. He may apologize for his past mistakes, but he’ll certainly assure Amanda that murdering her bio dad wasn’t one of them.
Perhaps Sutton can offer up some details that weren’t in the basic legal summary or the articles Amanda looked through.
However, Naya has admitted that Sutton is a private man, so he may be a bit cagey at first. There’s a good chance Sutton is innocent, but who actually wanted Amanda’s father dead? Sutton might be able to help Amanda figure that out as this storyline moves along.
There’ll be some interesting angles to pursue now that Amanda knows Richard worked for Newman Enterprises. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) should face a grilling session sooner or later, so he’ll have to think back and share what he remembers with Amanda.
As for Sutton, he’ll just hope Amanda can clear his name and help him get his life back on track.
