The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Lauren Baldwin’s (Tracey E. Bregman) affair could follow Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) exposure – that is if Y&R brings back a dropped cheating storyline! The pieces are in place for it to happen if the writers want to head in this direction.
On the July 28 Y&R episode, Lauren had no objections to Jack giving Sally another shot. In fact, Lauren praised the idea of second chances since she gave Sally one and it worked out so well.
Sally’s been doing a great job running JCV, so Lauren’s tempted to turn this trial run into a permanent position.
During that conversation, Jack was wearing his piece of the teardrop of love. Lauren was quick to comment about it potentially working its magic.
Of course, there’s been some debate over the significance of the teardrop of love and what it actually means for the people who wear it.
Lauren even suggested that maybe familial love was what the teardrop gem brought to Jack. He’s been loving the chance to get to know Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but is Harrison even really Jack’s grandson?
There’s a chance Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) manipulated the paternity situation, so that could be another blow that’s looming for Jack.
It’s important to mention all Jack’s heartache since he’ll really be struggling in the coming weeks.
After breaking up for good with Sally in the July 29 episode, Jack will eventually learn the full extent of Sally’s scheming. Tara will be exposed as well, so Jack’s going to feel like a fool for trusting such untrustworthy women.
Jack had a hopeful attitude in his chat with Lauren, but that’s going to be completely obliterated. Lauren will also feel manipulated since Sally’s the one who arranged the Marchetti job for Summer.
Sally might even be accused of threatening Summer somehow to score her JCV role, but Summer offered it willingly.
The point is Jack and Lauren could easily bond over this mutual feeling of betrayal. Jack has been having a string of bad luck with women, so he might turn to the one woman he can truly trust – and that’s Lauren.
