The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may marry Summer Newman (Hunter King) in Italy for a bittersweet sendoff – giving the couple a final romantic moment before their double exit. This might be the perfect note to end on for “Skyle,” so let’s discuss the possible departure strategy.
Y&R fans know Summer has already departed Genoa City, though we’re still seeing some scattered scenes of her in Milan.
Summer’s last airdate hasn’t arrived yet, so that’s great news for her unfinished romance. Just because Summer broke off her engagement to Kyle doesn’t mean this couple’s truly over.
Michael Mealor has confirmed his departure from the show, which means we have to start considering how Kyle will depart as well.
It makes sense that Kyle and Summer’s exits are going to be intertwined since they’re leaving around the same time – not to mention they’re soulmates being kept apart by a cruel plot!
Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) is on the verge of exposure along with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) for her role in Kyle and Summer’s suffering.
We’ll see the truth come out about why Summer took the job at Marchetti, dumped Kyle and fled Genoa City so hastily.
Kyle’s going to learn that Summer sacrificed her happiness so that Tara wouldn’t bolt with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), which will only make him love Summer more.
All of this is no doubt building to a dramatic reunion in Italy, but the show could really seal the deal on this sendoff with a small wedding.
Kyle and Summer might elope to finally lock in their shared future. After this constant “will they, won’t they” theme, it seems like it’d be the best possible way to end this “Skyle” chapter.
It’d be nice to think of Summer and Kyle off living a wonderful new life together in Italy. There’d be no better strategy for the duo to exit the canvas.
